I hooked up the player as book instructed. Great picture, but no sound using the HDMI cable hook-up required to get true 1080P quality. Tried all combinations of settings with no luck, finally called Sony Help. He ran me through all the hoops again, still no sound. He said I need a different cable or TV. TV is a Samsung, 3 months old. Supports DTS, HDTV 1080P, Dolby 5.1 Surround Sound. Ready to ship Sony player back. Also reviewed their so called EService web page, I found that to be as much help as their customer rep.
