Summary: WE love this little guy and bought a few for gifts for family. Was using a pc tower to play movies on TV's in the bedrooms and watch Netflix, when they broke I found this and it is way more convenient, takes up hardly any dresser space and is much cheaper than a pc..
Summary: I bought this mostly for the fact that is could stream Amazon Prime. The menus are archaic, ugly, and a bit confusing but once you get the hang of it they are functional. No idea what the bumped top is about it doesn't seem to improve the appearance or functionality in any way.
Summary: I am only going to rate my Sony Blue Ray Wifi Player 4 stars right now. Will review at a later date. I've only had it a few weeks. I connected the player to my TV a week after I got it. The connection was easier than I thought it would be.
Summary: It's a nice machine for the price point. It's a bit cumbersome to surf the net with the remote as it's so slow choosing one letter at a time on the screen but it does work. It's nice that it changes to the proper HDMI setting when the machine is turned on and would be really nice if it went back...
Summary: This is a very nice Blu-ray player. I have an older Sony player that I really liked and even older LG player. I wanted to replace the LG because it apps were really sparse and get something with more apps and the new Sony fit that requirement to a 'T'.
Summary: From someone who went from a regular DVD player to a Blu-Ray/DVD player, this was a good buy. It's easy enough to use, though, the apps could be a bit easier to navigate. Maybe it's just the remote, but navigating through one of the apps, like Netflix for example, is a slight pain.
Summary: Purchased this Sony Blu-ray Disc Player on Cyber Monday of 2014 for $50.00. When I received it the box appeared like it was a used Disc Player and there was a UPC label pulled off of the box and a big letter "D" marked on the box. I don't know if this meant "display or damaged" or not.
Summary: This is a great device if you want the ability to play blu rays and stream content. It's relatively cheap for the amount of content you get and it looks good too! The only downside I have is that the interface feels dated, like I'm using a ps3 from 2008.
