Perfect little player

  • Summary: I like this player a lot. Used it to make my small screen, non cable set-top box TV, Internet and streaming video friendly with my wifi set up. Does everything I need and takes up no space. A little flimsy but good value for the great price ($50) I bought it for during Black Friday sales week. I don't know about blue ray function because I don't stream or own blue ray. But picture quality is excellent with my 19 inch Samsung HDTV.

  • Summary: I picked this unit up after searching for a BlueRay player with wireless capabilities. I am happy with it and for the price it is a good value. I was connected via wireless which was fairly intuitive. But with heavy streaming and the distance from my wireless router and my bedroom I was not sure of the connectivity quality.

  • Summary: This WiFi Blu-Ray player is a good product and easy to use. The only negative comment I have is that a required HDMI cable is not included--and it is difficult to determine whether an HDMI cable is included or not. The box doesn't say anything about having to buy a cable and no data I could find indicated that you need to buy a cable to install it. So, plan on buying an HDMI cable when you buy the unit.

Great Player, at a Good Price

  • Summary: This is overall a great Blu-Ray player for the price. Bought two of these for my mother, mainly for Netflix and not so much actually playing Blu-Rays. After a firmware update, the device is pretty much flawless. It sometimes can be a bit slow to respond with the applications, but 98% of the time there's no problem at all. Looking for a Blu-Ray player with WIFI at an affordable price? BUY THIS. You won't be disappointed. This lives up to the Sony Legacy.

  • Summary: I love when a product is easy to use, easy to hook up, and works well. . The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because it said an HDMI cable was included , but wasn't. Turns out that Sony doesn't include one with any of these models, but their instructios book says that they do. They just don't want to print a whole new book. Since an HDMI cable is required, you have to purchase one before you can hook it up.

Great picture, great menus, great apps - easy to setup and use!

  • Summary: I really love this Blu-Ray player. The reason I gave it 4 stars is because it does not come with the necessary HDMI cable to connect to your TV. You can't use it right out of the box, and I thought this was frustrating to have to make a separate purchase to use the device - this also increases the total cost of the player. I bought this model because it was a smart blu-ray player and I wanted access to YouTube, Amazon Instant Video, etc.

  • Summary: Replaced a 13 year old Samsung DVD which sorta still worked. This new Sony works great. I like the apps that are available and it also replaced my Roku. On the Roku, I had limited choices unless I went to my PC and put things I wanted to watch on my favorites list. On the Sony, it seems like I have everything I should, especially genre selection. This is because the Sony has so much more memory available than the Roku.
