Summary: This is a great blu ray player. It has amazon instant video so that you can stream Amazon Prime. Only downside in my opinion is that it has no visible timer where you can see how long the DVD has been playing for.
Summary: When powered up it was either not responsive to the remote or would open/close tray for any button press. Fresh batteries did not help. Eventual found that holding the control 6" from the player at on specific position the player would respond. Finally got it connect to the network and software updated. Did not fix the problem. Returning unit to Amazon for replacement. Despite being a Prime member, Amazon predicts 5 days till I receive a replacement unit.
Summary: PROS: Much better than my last BluRay ($40 Phillips) - Fast loads, tray ejects quickly. Great Menu Structure. Lots of online apps. Looks good, DLNA, IPOD Touch used as Remote is very cool. DNLA HD videos without issues. CONS: No Remote app for Kindle Fire HD, Amazon streaming video connection is awful (1mps most of the time, lots of buffering) -However Amazon streaming will run at full HD when played on the same network on a Xbox360 or Kindle Fire HD.
Summary: Executive Summary: Five star player for regular folks (which excludes high-tech AVS Forum folks who want to push this player to the home theater/PC connectivity extreme) and a three star remote. First Impression: BPD0S3100 arrived in one day from Amazon using two day Amazon Prime shipping. The unit appeared to be factory brand new.
