Summary: shipped a dvd player to my home for a gift. It arrived with no other packing but the dvd box. The person it was meant for saw it sitting next to the front door in the rain. One side of box was half opened. Was it too much to expect it to arrive in a plain brown box with a little packing around a new dvd player? I will never ship from walmart.com again.
Summary: When I received this DVD/blu-ray player, it worked fine for about 2 months, then all of a sudden, it stopped working. It will no longer connect to Wi-fi, all the apps disappeared. I then had to sit on the phone for almost 2 hours with technical support who don't even speak english, and nothing was accomplished other than a rise in my blood pressure. Now I have to go through this gruesome warranty process of getting a new one.
Summary: I do not like for the remote to be so small, it is around 4-5 inches long. Also, it was difficult to navigate for me. I noticed that it would take a little too long to start and for Netflix and other icons to come up, and I do not think it was my internet. When ever it got stuck or would freeze, it wouldn't give you or show you any progress...I would try exiting or restarting but nothing would do. It was very frustrating!
Summary: Decent performance marred by a truly horrendous remote. The latter has tiny buttons, and if you accidentally tap the button adjacent to Play you may hit Internet or Home, sending you into a horrible nightmare of restarting the disc and going through the endless legal/studio BS menus yet again. I've done this countless times. And when the machine shuts down because you've taken too long on a potty break or something, you usually start over as well.
Summary: It has no player control on the player, the remote must be used to play, pause, ect. Also it is not 110v. It uses a power converter to reduce to 12 volt. Loses connection to the network very often. I would not buy this one again.
Summary: I just got my blu ray player today and it came with no instructions/manual and only had one cord to plug in. Nothing to connect to my TV. I have never had issues with refurbished products in the past so I didn't think this would be a problem. I hope Walmart contacts me back to inform me they will send me these cords and instructions otherwise I will be returning it.
Summary: I don't typically review products but this BD player deserves it. I would have given 3 stars except for the fact that the first player had to be returned because it kept locking up and required removing power to get it working again. Wouldn't last a day with out removing power and I had to reenter Pandora and Amazon Prime info every time. For the replacement unit that Amazon sent, the Quick Power feature causes the unit to lock up and require removing power to unlock it.
Summary: Can't submit much of a review, since the machine only worked twice. But the setup was straight-forward (it connected easily to my wi-fi). The two blue-ray DVDs I was able to play looked and sounded great. I will avoid buying refurbished items in the future; they aren't reliable.
