Summary: Easy set up and performance. It had a problem that the audio would distort when changing chapters, when viewing a dvd. Decided to send it back, which they promptly refunded our money, and go with a different model.
Summary: I bought this for my daughter for Christmas along with a Netflix subscription. I decided on this player fully believing it would work thru wifi. I have since reread the description and while it doesn't say it is, to us behind the times in lingo, it sure sounds like it is. It's a great player and does the job however I wish they would state NOT WIFI specifically.
Summary: When I originally hooked it to my TV -- a Sony Bravia -- the unit performed as advertised. It detected the TV automatically, video was sharp and clear and the response to remote commands was quick. After hooking it to my network the unit downloaded a software update and added a lot of remote service such as Amazon Video and Netflix to the home screen options. Now the response to the remote commands is sluggish -- usually needing five to six seconds between key presses.
Summary: This item doesn't have built in wifi. Yea I know in this day and age. Who would buy this inexpensive of a blue ray if not for a kids room? And why hard wire any thing you don't have to? Any way I returned it.
Refuses to register you for Amazon Instant Video unless you also register your personal information with Sony.

Summary: Streamed fine but we tried to play a dvd in it and it made noises for like 30 seconds and then said it was an unsupported disc type. I tried another dvd and it took a long time again but did finally load it. I tried the first dvd in my ps3 and it played fine. The disc was clean and undamaged. Maybe I got a bad sample, but it seems to have a lot of trouble reading DVDs.
Summary: not a bad player, but is very basic. if you are looking for features this is not the one.also , has no display on the player.ir your tv isnt on you dont know whrer you are on the disc.annoying.
