  • Summary: I originally reviewed this as a 5 star product. I bought this player almost a year ago and now things are falling apart. The player does not work anymore period. I guess I'll have to throw out some money to get a new version because it worked phenomenal until then.

DRM destroys the usability

  • Summary: The design of this product is ridiculous. The only way to get it to load a movie from a disc is to have the unit inject (opposite of eject) the disc. You cannot have the disc already inserted and turn the unit on and tell it to play.

Frustrating video/HDMI problem

Fried out of box

  • Summary: Didn't work at all out of box. First time I started the player, it automatically shut off. This happened 3 times. Then It did not shut off, but then nothing came on the TV. I connected another device to same HDMI port and that device worked fine. So definitely there is some major defect.

  • Summary: I wish i could rate Sony's customer service and tech support with a negative five stars. Very good product i must say, however after reading your manual and following it precisely (if you can understand the manual) you will be calling tech support for help and good luck finding that number!

NO BUILT IN WIFI AND RETURN IS ONLY 30 DAYS!

  • Summary: It's horrible that they don't warn buyers that this is not a WIFI capable unit. No wonder they only give a 30 return policy. Now I can't use it and I can't return it. Horrible company to do business with. Would not buy from them again!!!!!

Screen started going blank on 5th Blu-Ray I watched.

  • Summary: Worked fine until I tried watching "This is the End." Screen would randomly go black (sound was fine) for 2-6 seconds throughout the entire movie. Very frustrating. Sending back.
