Summary: The Blu-ray I was sent did not work at all. The tray would not open. What really frustrated me was the run arounD from Sony customer service. It took a couple of tries to have someone finally decide I needed to send it back, but then it took 2 tries to get the labels needed to send it back.
Summary: I hesitated to buy this unit because of the reviews criticizing the Netflix streaming. This must have been a problem with earlier firmware. I bought the unit in June 2010 and immediately updated the firmware to the current version.
Summary: My Sony 52" TV is awesome, toss in a theater system and this baby and I had to move the furniture to make room for all the actors in the house! It's almost 3-D from any distance and any angle. Beautiful picture, vivid and sharp as a razor. I'm lovin' the blu-ray way.
Summary: We are thrilled with this product. Easy to operate and handles old movies with the clarity of the newer releases. Communicates with our new Samsung TV like they are best friends!!! Have tried another Blu ray from a competitor and had to return it, will not mention the company, but the Sony folks did...
Summary: This was an early Father's Day gift for my husband. He was pleasantly surprised that I researched many Blu-Ray players and choose this one based on the Spec's. The clairty of the picture and the sound was amazing. It apparently enhanced our existing flat screen TV and our home theater system.
Summary: My first Blu-Ray ever and I am enjoying it a lot!! I set it up in 10 mins, 10 mins more for Netflix and Pandora sync and after that... completely satisfaction. The DVD upscaling is great and wait until you play blu-ray movies like Avatar or Up! It rocks!!
Summary: I purchased this Blu-ray player 6 weeks ago. It has been fine until now having a good quality output. It does start rather slowly and does not have an eject button on the remote. Minor annoyances.
