Summary: Down through the years I have purchased tens of thousands of dollars of Sony electronics and the BDPBX39 is the worst piece of equipment I have ever purchased from Sony. It has terrible signal reception strength even when the wireless router is within feet of it and It is very slow to start up.
Trouble with the firmware - Update can't be completed thru internet connection.

Summary: I bought this. The power supplydidn't work. If you jiggled the cord just right it would go on, but most times it would immediately turn off again. So I returned it and got the same thing (trusting the Sony name). The 2nd one did the same thing.

Summary: I purchased this unit as a blue ray player replacement when my PS3 died. I've owned it for about six weeks and it's slow, buggy and hangs relatively frequently. The only thing this unit has to recommend it is it's cost. I've owned it too long to return it, so I'm regulating it to the dust bin.
