Summary: Encountered a problem where some Blu-Ray discs would not play on this model. Called Sharp Customer Service and found out I needed to update the software! Was surprised to have to perform this function on a system I had purchased in April 2009. Was told that not all Blu-Ray discs are manufactured with the same format and there is no standardization for Blu Ray discs as of October 2009. So, if the software version is not updated, be prepared to do this step.
