Summary: Don't buy it. Suuupppeerrr slow have a sony that logs on to Netflix about 20 times faster (not exaggerating) with a super cool-looking menu and was more affordable. This one keeps going on sale no wonder there's like 10,000 left in the store. I'm returning it.
Summary: This player is a major disappointment. I feel like I threw my money away. Player freezes during playback. The load times are so long I had time to pop in a disc and drop a loaf before the disc even loaded. The menu looks like some kinda cheap design from an old Beta-Max player from the 80's. You have to hook up a dongle for Wifi and it constantly drops signal and there's no internal storage so if you plan on using Bd Live you'll have to hook up a flash drive.
Summary: After trying out this product, I traded it in at a pawn shop for a Sony Blue-Ray Disk player, which is far superior. The sharp BD player and sound bars and home theater sound systems range from mediocre to poor. Load time and navigation are slow and noisy. The sound systems don't impact the listener very well. My vizio sound bar puts out better sound. But, stick with Sony for sound and BD players. Either that or Samsung.
Summary: Worst player EVER!!! Have had nothing but problems! I bought it because I also just bought a new Sharp TV. Takes forever to start, IF it does at all. I am constantly REBOOTING the thing, but nothing. I called Sharp and they said to reboot it, then they said that it may be the disc. Unfortunately I am outside the return window by days, so it will likely just go in the trash. If I could rate it zero stars I would. DO NOT BUY.
Summary: We just hooked up our Sharp BD-HP35U in order to instantly stream shows from Netflix. Turns out, according to Netflix, this model is "NOT COMPATIBLE" even though it advertizes it on the Blu Ray box and in the setup of the player! DO NOT BUY THIS MODEL IF YOU WANT TO INSTANTLY STREAM MOVIES FROM NETFLIX!
