Sharp BlueRay player

Overstock
22 May 2009
  • Summary: received the dvd player really quick in the mail, was very happy with the savings and quality of this product. The only negative thing I have to say is that it takes almost 2 minutes for this BlueRay player to read BlueRay discs and almost 5 minutes to read regular DVD's before actually seeing...

Solid performing blu-ray player

Y. Lee, Amazon
4 October 2008
  • Summary: This review is for the BD-HP20X which is essentially the same as the HP20U but is the localised Australian variant. I took a plunge on this player after seeing it advertised for an irresistibly low price through an internet mail-order vendor.

Coogs, Amazon
28 February 2008
  • Summary: First, the positive. Blu-ray discs produce a dazzling picture. That alone is enough to get three stars out of me. If you plan to use this exclusively for Blu-ray movies, you should be okay. But there are numerous negatives to consider before you use this unit for anything other than Blu-ray discs.

OK for DVDs buy DOES NOT PLAY CDs!

A. Abernathy, Amazon
1 January 2008
  • Summary: This is my first Blu-ray player, so I have nothing else to compare it to, but I can see why my local a/v dealer warned me that Blu-ray (and HD DVD) players are still not quite ready for primetime....
