Summary: great picture, has some funny bugs I can't seem to work around. Wireless connection and commands a little funky, super cool case/body style. Odd DVD loading made finding a location for the unit limiting. From the side, plan in advance for future purchase. Menus could be easier, but ok.
Summary: Not really a con but when you search for a network share automatically it won't find it. I have to do it manually but its no biggie.
Pros: I bought this unit for both the blu-ray playback as well as the playback from the PC. The idea of playing movies from my PC through the wireless connection gave me goosebumps. As advertised, I hooked it all up and was watching movies from my PC.
Cons: Every so often it plays a movie from my PC or burned disc very laggy. I thought it was a network issue but when i burned the movie to a disc, it did the same thing. Turns out it was a codec issue. When i converted it to another format it played perfect. Another con is not being able to save netwo...
Summary: I don't have a lot of time for this - so I will keep it short. The Blu Ray is beautiful, but it does attract a lot of dust and fingerprints need to be wiped off everytime you touch the front of it.
Summary: The thing does everything it claims it will do. Setup was a breeze, including the wireless setup. It finds the wireless networks it can see, and asks you which one. Assuming you're a smart network user, and have set an encryption key on your home wireless network, you do have to know that...
Summary: I bought this player mainly because of its stylish design and would match perfectly when I get a LED TV, most likely Samsung LED to match TOC style. This player has pretty fast disc loading speed. Setup for network and online streaming is simple.
Pros: Design and Styling, Good disc loading, good online streaming.
Summary: This is now my 3rd Blu ray player and I like it the best. I got this player do to the ability to stream netflix movies wireless. After getting it, took me about 30 min to get it up and running. The manual isn't very user friendly. Once I got the wireless connection to work, it was worth it.
Summary: PC Video streaming support is poor. Will only play divx avi files. Audio streaming requires the TV for navigation. Why is it not possible for it to save the setup and then start streaming with a single click. No remote codes so cant use univsersal remotes. Netflix works great.
Summary: After a few weeks, I'm quite satisfied with the BD-P4600. I use it together with Samsung 850 series LCD and they match perfectly in style and interaction - but somehow I could not make the LCD turn off with the BD still running audio only.
