Solid Player

Jesse D., Newegg
1 February 2010
  • Summary: Not really a con but when you search for a network share automatically it won't find it. I have to do it manually but its no biggie.
  • Pros: I bought this unit for both the blu-ray playback as well as the playback from the PC. The idea of playing movies from my PC through the wireless connection gave me goosebumps. As advertised, I hooked it all up and was watching movies from my PC.
  • Cons: Every so often it plays a movie from my PC or burned disc very laggy. I thought it was a network issue but when i burned the movie to a disc, it did the same thing. Turns out it was a codec issue. When i converted it to another format it played perfect. Another con is not being able to save netwo...

Works for me

Kendall J. Wright "Tech Curmudgeon", Amazon
21 January 2010
  • Summary: The thing does everything it claims it will do. Setup was a breeze, including the wireless setup. It finds the wireless networks it can see, and asks you which one. Assuming you're a smart network user, and have set an encryption key on your home wireless network, you do have to know that...

Samsung BD-P4600 Blu Ray

Mauricio E. Rodriguez "Mouse Rodri", Amazon
21 January 2010
  • Summary: I don't have a lot of time for this - so I will keep it short. The Blu Ray is beautiful, but it does attract a lot of dust and fingerprints need to be wiped off everytime you touch the front of it.

Good Product

ppjhan, PriceGrabber
15 January 2010
  • Summary: I bought this player mainly because of its stylish design and would match perfectly when I get a LED TV, most likely Samsung LED to match TOC style. This player has pretty fast disc loading speed. Setup for network and online streaming is simple.
  • Pros: Design and Styling, Good disc loading, good online streaming.
  • Cons: Menu, Price

Samy Blu Ray

Criss C. Gunderson, Amazon
17 October 2009
  • Summary: great picture, has some funny bugs I can't seem to work around. Wireless connection and commands a little funky, super cool case/body style. Odd DVD loading made finding a location for the unit limiting. From the side, plan in advance for future purchase. Menus could be easier, but ok.

  • Summary: I received this unit as a gift for Christmas. I researched it before and knew it was a perfect match for my Samsung entertainment system. The BD Live works wonder as soon as I hook it up via HDMI.

I like it

antoinette panico, Amazon
19 September 2009
  • Summary: I'm very happy with this--I did need to call to help me set up the wireless system but after that it's kind of easy--and it has upgraded it's self 2x since I got it 1 month ago--you do have to supply your own flash player- which I feel they should supply--to get all the affects of the blu-ray--the...
