Summary: I've owned this player for about 18 months now. Initial setup was tricky because my wireless modem is too far away from the living room to provide a nice stream for videos. Although my PC's worked just fine in the living room, the intense video streaming required of the blu-ray with PC's operating on the same bandwidth, made movies hesitate too much.
Summary: I bought it at Best Buy on sale 225.00 plus 10 % off. Had a little trouble getting started but finally managed through it. Firmware took 10 mins to download through WIFI. Netflix works really good with this unit. All of my house is wireless and this unit works just fine. (linksys router N ) This unit has everything you need to go wireless. If your looking for other products to compare make sure it say WIFI on the box.
Summary: After months of researching blu-ray players. I finally settled on the Samsung BD-P3600. After reading some of the reviews I was a little leary and unsure of my purchase after bringing it home. I am glad it worked out and I feel comfortable recommending this player to my friends and family. Out of the box the installation was easy. No issues connecting to my wireless network.
Summary: When choosing a blu ray player, the choice can be confusing at times. After months of searching I now believe the best ones are the ones that match your needs most, after price point. Here is my review after a night well spent learning the ins and outs. Pros- Wifi-- This year Wifi will be all the rage. Set up with my samsung after a slight learning curve took 20 mins tops and once connected it worked flawlessy. I didn't even need to read the manuel.
Summary: I bought the BD-P3600 after researching the units extensively and subscribing to Netflix. The value is terrific, especially since it includes the wireless LAN adapter. The set-up was quick and easy and the connection to the internet through my 802.11n wireless router has been solid, reliable and smooth in the delivery of both video and audio. Being able to stream video over the internet is especially convenient and seems to be just as high quality as using a DVD.
Summary: I can't imagine how any could find fault with this Blu-ray player. I unboxed it, I attached the old HDMI cable from my previous DVD player, it worked. Total time investment at this point was about 15 minutes. Since I didn't have any Blu-ray discs, (this is my first Blu-ray player), I set up the wireless Ethernet feature. Worked like a charm, no muss no fuss.
Summary: I did an enormous amount of research over the past year--yes year--before purchasing the Samsung BD-P3600. I have no complaints whatsoever. In fact, I have nothing but high praise. I have been a PC user since the Tandy/Apple II-Mac 1970s, but claim no expertise beyond high-intermediate skills, and I had NO problem establishing a successful wireless connection and started immediately streaming remarkably clear, widescreen "HD" netflix and blockbuster streams (a very...
