BDP3600 - Does BDP stand for "But Doesn't Play" BluRay?

Summary: We've had the BDP3600 for a few years now. We are very unhappy. It plays DVDs and streams NetFlix fine. But it doesn't play BluRays movies anymore. It worked fine when we first got it. But now, if we try to play a BluRay movie we get a message that says "This disk cannot be played". We generally like Samsung products. I have a Samsung Note 3 phone that's great. But a BluRay player that doesn't play BluRays? That stinks. Stay away from this product. Very unhappy.
Summary: This has been in my closet for 4 years because of the firmware update. I took it out today hoping Samsung had put a fix on the internet. Maybe a USB fix. Or hold down buttons such as the fast forward like they said to get it to default. But no they want you to pay more money and send it to them at a cost out of your pocket. They broke with there incompetent computer guys. My advice is stay away from Samsung blue ray players. I do have a great TV made by them.
Summary: Samsung should get out of the electronics business if this is the quality of their products.
Pros: Nothing that is not available on other Blu Ray players
Cons: The player shows a message "Disc cannot be played" even when there's no disc in the tray and ejects the tray. This prevents the player to be used for streaming purposes as well (the tray has to be closed), effectively rendering the player useless.
If I could give this product a negative five I would.

Pros: Easy online, wifi hookup.
Cons: Watching a dvd and the screen froze. I tried everything to fix it. Samsung upon hearing a detailed description of the problem immediately recommended I send it in for a repair. I have had the player for 2 years but only opened the box a few days ago.
Summary: Now I don't. I just purchased 4 blu-ray movies by Disney. And this player will not play them properly, with the most current firmware available. There's a whole forum out there about how this player won't play the Disney blu-ray movies, and some DVD's, properly or at all. It also has a very weak wi-fi, so Netflix doesn't work most of the time either.
Summary: They call this a Blu Ray player. Only I'd never know it. Cause it will only load Blu Ray disks .5 out of 10 times. I've upgraded the firsmware 3 times in the 6 months I've owned it. We've rented disks -- it won't play them. We've bought disks -- it won't play those either. New disks, old disks, clean disks or dirty disks it's an equal opportunity no-go. If you are looking for a Blu Ray player... stay away from Samsung. That's for sure.
Summary: My wife and I had previously purchased a Samsung blu-ray (1600) and had had a good experience with it. We purchasd the 3600 from Amazon. From the outset, it did not play some bly-ray titles and would skip and stutter as it read the disc. It got worse and worse. I first of all went on line at Samsung for help. They confirmed that I had all the firmware updates and had tested everything appropriately I spent and hour with the person before being told to call Samsung.
Summary: READ THE FINE PRINT ON THE WARRANTY BEFORE YOU PURCHASE! AND, IF A PRODUCT SO MUCH AS SQUEAKS, RETURN IT IMMEDIATELY! We were complete idiots to buy this Blu-Ray Player! The warranty is THREE MONTHS ON LABOR AND ONE YEAR ON PARTS! We purchased a Samsung BD-P3600 Blu-Ray Player in December and within the first month or so, it would pixilate when you fast-forwarded DVD's or Blu-Ray discs to get past the movie previews. We thought it was an issue with the discs!
Pros: Wireless Streaming - Netflix & Pandora Are Great
Cons: 3 Month Warranty on Labor. Main Board Failed After 5 Months. Need to push handheld control multiple times to operate unit (open & close disc tray), fast forward, pause, etc.)
