The Samsung BD-P1500 features blu-ray disc, 1080p resolution, Blu-ray full HD playback, Anynet + (HDMI-CEC), one-touch control, firmware upgrades, BD-Live 2.0, 2.0 ch analog audio out, HDMI 1.3, USB 2.0, video outputs, HDMI outputs, storage and accessories.

Features

The Samsung BD-P1500 features a Blu-ray disc player. It offers digital imaging with Blu-ray HD (24 frames per second) playback and playing of CDs, MP3 and JPG files. The Anynet (HDMI – CEC) features a remote control where it delivers one-touch control for all HDMI-connected compatible devices such as Samsung TV, AV receiver and home theater. It features a Blu-ray Disc player equipped with an Ethernet connection which allows download of firmware upgrades and new features. The player provides storage for these features with a plug in of a memory stick with the minimum of 1 GB memory into the USB port. The Samsung BD-P1500 features BD-Live 2.0 where it allows studios to future-proof their Blu-ray titles. This BD-Live function offers connection to the Internet to download images, subtitles and other function. In addition to this, other features include text-chat with friends during a movie or play against others in online trivia games to unlock video content and earn discounts on other products. It offers audio output options which include the HDMI output, analog audio with stereo RCA output for two channels of analog audio. Other additional outputs which are featured include composite video outputs, component video outputs, optical digital audio outputs and coaxial digital audio outputs. The definition audio and frame rates operate at 1080 p resolution. The HDMI 1.3 is the video cable format which delivers and maintains the quality in video viewing from the Samsung Blu-ray player. The physical features which provide a/v quality include Dolby digital decoder, DTS decoder, Dolby digital plus decoder and Dolby true HD decoder. This Blu-ray disc player offers USB 2.0 for connectivity which provides connection for SW upgrades and memory expansion.

Additional features

The Samsung BD-P1500 features recommended playback media which include BD-ROM, DVD-ROM, DVD-R, DVD-RW, AVCHD and audio CD. The playback formats that operate with the Blu-ray disc player are VC-1, MPEG2 and H.264. This Blu-ray disc player is measured at (W x H x D) 16.9 inches x 3.3 inches x 10.8 inches.

    Switch off the DVD Player, wait for a few minutes and then switch it back on. Insert a CD cleaner (the DVD might contain dust that might cause malfunction). If it still won’t play, it might be that the DVD you bought was not a good copy (pirated DVDs often cause this problem).
