"Netflix app constantly stutters. Very slow machine."
6 July 2012
Pros: USB port allows for easy viewing of many different types of video files.
Cons: While watching BluRays the player will sometimes become unresponsive to the remote. The Netflix app is horrible. There is constant buffering, skipping and audio shifts. Sometimes, you cannot even access the SmartHub that gives you access to the apps.
Pros: Works sometimes.. Nice Picture, Nice Feature Options
Cons: Connects to Netflix but won't stream. Vudu works sometimes but connection always breaks. So frustrating! If DVD is in player when unit is first turned on, it will automatically start playing and takes a moment to get to main screen. So Disappointed
"GARBAGE AND SO IS THE CUSTOMER SERVICE!DO NOT PURCHASE!"
23 February 2012
Pros: ABSOLUTLEY NONE!
Cons: I have changed internet, modems, and now have 30 megabytes, and still cannot watch Netflix without rebuffering or losing connection! Customer service will not help me, and no one ever calls me back, like the say they will. This is a **** poor company
"False advertising - slow wireless, no streaming video"
29 August 2011
Cons: Like other reviewers, my BD5700 worked (poorly) for the first day and now on day 2, unbelievably slow wireless connection, unable to stream netflix at all. Just spent 1.5 hours on the phone with Samsung "customer support", firmware update did not fix
Summary: This player is almost as much of a piece of crap as the first gen Samsung player. It has disc compatibility issues, won't play certain discs. It is slow, shoddy HDMI connection, overpriced and just sucks.
Summary: I purchased a 52" Samsung Plasma TV and this BD-P1200 blu-ray player. Most manufacturers of any kind are only separated when you have a problem... they all know how to take your money, but when it comes to righting a wrong, there are BIG differences. Samsung is, without a doubt, THE WORST.
