"Netflix app constantly stutters. Very slow machine."
6 July 2012
Pros: USB port allows for easy viewing of many different types of video files.
Cons: While watching BluRays the player will sometimes become unresponsive to the remote. The Netflix app is horrible. There is constant buffering, skipping and audio shifts. Sometimes, you cannot even access the SmartHub that gives you access to the apps.
Pros: Works sometimes.. Nice Picture, Nice Feature Options
Cons: Connects to Netflix but won't stream. Vudu works sometimes but connection always breaks. So frustrating! If DVD is in player when unit is first turned on, it will automatically start playing and takes a moment to get to main screen. So Disappointed
"GARBAGE AND SO IS THE CUSTOMER SERVICE!DO NOT PURCHASE!"
23 February 2012
Pros: ABSOLUTLEY NONE!
Cons: I have changed internet, modems, and now have 30 megabytes, and still cannot watch Netflix without rebuffering or losing connection! Customer service will not help me, and no one ever calls me back, like the say they will. This is a **** poor company
"False advertising - slow wireless, no streaming video"
29 August 2011
Cons: Like other reviewers, my BD5700 worked (poorly) for the first day and now on day 2, unbelievably slow wireless connection, unable to stream netflix at all. Just spent 1.5 hours on the phone with Samsung "customer support", firmware update did not fix
Summary: The Samsung BD-P1200 is an absolute waste of money. The latest blu-ray titles won't play on it, so I had to do a firmware update. Three hours and a few tears later, I received error messages flashing across my plasma TV after installing the update. But--the firmware update must've worked on the BD-1200 because it played the discs. Then the optical port went bad--fell apart.
Summary: this is the worst experience that i have ever had with any piece of electronic equipment. Samsung is incompetent and doesn't care about service either. this player won't play a BUNCH of the new DVD's and the LAST time i went through this i had to spend HOURS TRYING to download a 'firmware' fix?
