PLEASE AVOID AT ALL COST!

Stuart J. Shields, Amazon
11 June 2008
  • Summary: I have this player I would strongly state that you not purchase unless you $300.00 to spend what is really a "beefed up DVD player". It won't play any blu-ray discs past March of this year. I have called their "customer service" countless times with no resolution. They will not provide you with any up to date firmware nor any real support. The last rep I spoke to laughed at me. So do yourself a favor and shop for another brand. This is a big waste of money.

Couch Potato "TV Addict!", Amazon

  • Summary: Bought it a while back. Upgraded firmware Still won't play some disks. Customer Service is worthless and not interested in the problem. Bought the Panasonic and it is a dream machine. Plays everything beautifully! I will sell the Sansung on Ebay... what a waste!

  • Summary: Robert Says: "Can't explain some of the poor reviews other than maybe some people don't know how to properly setup the player." Also, you have not even ackowledged the possible softening bug, although I believe that is a spin from Sony to try and save face from the poor Samsung player *and* the poor initial releases from...

DON'T BUY THIS!

Fox Ade, Amazon
28 July 2006
  • Summary: I bought this after I had already boughtthe Toshiba machine expecting to see a better picture. What a big disappointment. I returned it after 2 days. First off, despite an HDMI connection to a 1080P Samsung TV, it did not recognise the BluRay discs Terminator and Crash DVDs. Then I played a regular dvd and it recognised that, and only after that did it play the BLU ray discs. The quality was indistinguishable from that from my regular $37 DVD player.
