Gene G., Newegg
12 December 2014
  • Summary: Specifically purchased this unit because of the positive forum/blog discussions on the internet and it looked like it could most everything I need.. Unfortunately the most important thing I wanted it for, AVCHD, is not yet available even tho all Samsung literature says it is.
  • Pros: comes up fast, resolution up scale is very good-i.e. for NETFLIX, cosmetically pleasing
  • Cons: speed,looks

good 4K/3D player, but USB port in front quit playing MP4 sound altogether. Returned unit.

Stephen E. Franklin, Amazon
22 November 2014
  • Summary: Really good player, but had problems with USB front port. Never resolved. I watched MP4 movies through USB thumb drive port In front. At first, this unit was flawless, then, it quit playing all MP4 sound. I did a major reset, checked and rechecked all sound Settings. I found nothing to help.

Not so NetFlix friendly

Wayland H., Newegg
19 October 2014
  • Summary: I bought this mostly to watch Netflix and wish it would do better. This player will not play Netflix 4:3 shows at 16:9. Like the old Star Trek series. Had an LG-BD390 before this one and it did what I needed it to do but it stop getting updates and not playing Netflix after about 5 yrs old.
  • Pros: Lots of settings and some good features but does not have a zoom feature.
  • Cons: This player does not play Netflix shows that were not made in wide screen to play at full screen. I have the setting set to play at full screen but player will not do it with Netflix. Does it with shows off my flash drive but not on Netflix. Occasionally Netflix crashes and need to restart the ma...

  • Summary: A sleek and full-featured Bu-ray player; however, I was unable to integrate with my Mitsubishi 265 series LCD HDTV, which includes many of the bells and whistles of the Samsung blu-ray player. The BD-F7500 also duplicates much of what I have with my Roku box and the TV.

Decent player; buggy updates and non-existent support

Michael S. Young "Michael S Young", Amazon
18 April 2014
  • Summary: Works solidly in most regards, but ever since the latest update it has a tendency to just turn off for no reason and my Hulu Plus app has disappeared from the menu, meaning that in order to access it, I have to go to the Samsung Store every single time, shaving precious minutes off my life.

Not a bad bluray player but so-so netflix

rakuten
4 March 2014
  • Summary: Still evaluating this bluray player. I did the latet firmware update and haven't had a chance to cycle through enough blurays to evaluate picture quality. I did notice that my Western Digital Live does a much better job on Netflix picture processing than this bluray player which was very...

franbene "Gadget freak", Amazon
19 December 2013
  • Summary: I've bought this product because I have a Samsung Lcd Tv and I want it a 100% compatibility. The unit works fine and loads really fast the Bluray's discs compared to other brads, the image is very, very good.

Rather disappointing

formerx69, Crutchfield
8 October 2013
  • Summary: Although Crutchfield exceeded my expectations, I am somewhat disappointed with the Blu-ray player. Some discs I recorded don't properly play or freeze up during playback. Some ripped content on my WD USB hard drive hangs up during playback.
  • Pros: Fast loading. Attractive design.
  • Cons: Doesn't always play content flawlessly. Interface is just OK for the price. App selection is fairly limited.
