  • Summary: Lightweight build and is playing everything nicely including audio CD sound is brilliant - a simple no fuss player! You can even use the SmartTouch remote to control this player if you have an F-series TV. Samsung did a good job with this device.
  • Pros: Brilliant picture quality especially 3D is awsome.
  • Cons: Little connectivity - just 1 hdmi, 1 LAN, 1 audio out socket

Great player!

  • Summary: Lovely design, so far we watched plenty free amazon prime movies and used BBC player, didn't watched any blurays so don't know. While watching quiet movie DVDs you could hear cd, so it's not very quiet... But still quite happy with purchase, bought it for £130 and thought its a bit pricey but great if you get it cheaper.

  • Summary: This player says that it supports Amazon Prime Instant video. In my case it will not hold the signal and constantly buffers and the stops and says there is a problem with the broadband connection. I have fiber broadband and all my other machines, laptop ,PC , Amazon Fire HD, internet radio work with no problems or buffering whatsoever. After many phone calls with both Samsung and Amazon i could not resolve the problem.

Good, but occasionally (rare) freezes and slightly buggy/slow apps

R. Davies "bobbigmac", Amazon
1 September 2014
  • Summary: It's okay, but doesn't blow me away. The box and the apps seem a bit buggy and reboots or freezes occasionally (though that may be due to the iPlayer and/or Youtube app leaking memory). Not tried blu-ray playback as I wanted it mainly for the smart features. Boots quickly and generally does okay streaming media across my network.

Terrible apps and connection

Will Griffin, Amazon
26 July 2014
  • Summary: Unfortunately I have to agree with the reviewers who slate this player for the terrible internet connection. I have a Samsung TV and my old blu-ray player (non-streaming) was a Samsung too, and I was very happy with them. This thing, though, has been nothing but frustration from day one. The picture quality when playing discs is terrific, but there are issues with every app - Amazon, Netflix, iPlayer...

17 July 2014
  • Summary: Excellent DVD player Good brand Good quality pictures Easy to use If you do not have a smart tv buy this player as you can have smart functions If you have a smart tv there is no need to buy this. I would just buy a DVD player with no smart functions Remote could look more sophisticated. It is a bit bland.

  • Summary: I bought this to replace an old DVD player in my daughter's bedroom which was connected to a 32-in Samsung TV (32LE346). Not only the installation looks much neater now, but it gave the middle-aged TV set a MASSIVE! image quality boost. Not to mention the new limitless features within SmartHub, AllShare, and the Blu-ray itself.. I installed it in minutes and got it working straight away.

Good blue-ray / OK media box / Terrible Wifi

MR F LOCH, Amazon
6 June 2014
  • Summary: It plays Blue-rays & DVDs well. The interface is clunky and slow but all DVD players are like that now. The apps are pretty bad but you can do what you have to do it just takes a while; right, pause, right, pause, right, click, click didn't work, click didn't work, click, into Netflix and everything is great from there in. I've tried Netflix, Blinkbox and Amazon PIV, all were excellent. The biggest problem is that the wifi is so bad it almost doesn't have wifi.
