  • Summary: The item I received was a BD-HM59C. Should of been a BD-F5900/FM59B or a BD-FM59C as listed in item description. The item I received was not listed. Appears to be a COSCO model. There is no hub on the remote control or a button for Netflix on the remote control or Samsung app icons in main menu. It has OPERA apps but every app kept reloading.

Don't worry about the recent bad reviews. Perfect condition item that looked NEW. GREAT sound.

  • Summary: Got this refurbished and was concerned because I read about some bad reviews on here. I was very happy when the product arrived with every feature and in good working condition. In fact, the player did not have a single scratch and looked brand new (besides the fact that there was no screen plastic on it and it came in a Samsung refurbished box). I would not worry too much about getting a bad one of these.

not the Optical like it was supposed to have

  • Summary: This is my 3 attempt at finding a Blu-ray player that has the Optical Audio output. After doing extensive research and even asking the question on here, this model is supposed to have the Digital Audio output. I received the player today and opened the box only to find that this has the Coaxial Audio output, not the Optical like it was supposed to have.

  • Summary: Didn't realize it wasn't a smart player as it specified in the description Netflix, VUDU and more. Usually, I check model number online other than sellers description, I didn't this time and it bit me.

aggravated

  • Summary: not too happy. The player worked fine for awhile but now it won't play DVD's. I play the disc and the error message pops up stating that the command cannot be performed due to disc restrictions but I'm not pressing anything. When the disc finally plays it cuts off every second or two like someone is pressing the pause button. I have reset the factory settings 5 times and it still does it.

  • Summary: it took me almost a year to work up the courage to buy a refurb product. so far so good. the only reason i purchased this product is because my samsung tv does not have amazon prime! the app was there then one day a software update took the app away! on the bright side this adds more features than my samsung smart tv such as an internet web browser (even though navigating the website is so slow i dont use it at all), and samsung screen mirror which works better than...

Exactly what I wanted at a great price!

Amazon Customer, Amazon

  • Summary: I bought this specific player because I needed an optical speaker output to drive my sound bar. I didn't care that it does 3D as I don't have a 3D TV. My experience after the first month of use is that this thing works exactly as designed. I've played about a dozed disks now, not a single one of them has experienced any issues. I've used the "Smart" features multiple times and as well I've been very pleased. I've never lost my wifi signal.

  • Summary: The F5900 has mated easily with my Samsung TV. It communicates well with the TV and works like they were designed to work together. Same remote functions with both. When playing a DVD it turns the set on and plays. When done don't have to enter menu to get normal viewing back.

  • Summary: I needed a Blu-ray Player that had an optical out for my sound system. This unit met the requirements and it is a Samsung which works with my Samsung TV.
