Summary: I got a Roku3 for my birthday last spring, and was never able to get any kind of surround out of it when streaming HD movies. So, I bought this little blu ray player as a black-friday special to see if it would have the same issues. Man, this little guy streams all kinds of content, through several providers, with perfect surround sound sound. No pulling you hair out trying to make it work. Just hook it into your amp via hdmi, and enjoy.
Summary: I bought this Blu-ray player because I had the same type a few years older. It is very easy to use. The HDMI cord that I also bought at Wal-Mart (inexpensive one) did not connect with my smart TV so not sure if that was the player or the TV but I just switched with my other Blu-ray player and is working great. Connected to my Wi-Fi with no hassle. Have not used the Wi-fi to get on Netflix or hulu plus yet.
Summary: i bought this unit at WM in Arlington TX on 10/16/ 2014, im glad i got the 2 yr plan, after the first firmware update it stopped producing a signal to my tv, so the unit played less than two months and then died.
Summary: Affordable, easy to set up and use, takes up very little space, and has multiple uses. Blu-ray, regular dvds, streaming, multiple formats etc. I have been wanting a player that could play movies on my television directly from a flashdrive, and this works beautifully. WiFi is built in and took only seconds to set up. Other models probably do offer more streaming outlets, so if you're looking for a wider array, research others before buying this one.
