Summary: GREAT FOR KIDS & PETS...You will hope they break it, so you do not feel guilty about throwing it away. We bought this unit from COSTCO back in 02/2013 for around $99. This unit plays BD-DVD's without issue 8 out of every 10 times.
Summary: Lasted 13 months and quit communicating with my television. ALL network tests said it was fine, did the "hard" reboot, spent an hour moving through 4 levels of Samsung tech support only to hear that my internet provider changed my firewall settings.
Summary: The intent for use was good. The features is what drew me to buy this item but it doesn't work! The unit started to black out, then no audio, now it just doesn't work. Tried contacting Samsung which was a waste of time. Waring! Do not buy any refurbished Samsung products.
Worst piece of consumer electronics I have every owned
Bob Beauchaine, Amazon
11 April 2013
Summary: The title paraphrases it. Of all the DVD, VHS, Blu-Ray players, CD, televisions, phones, portable electronics, and god knows what else you can think of, this is the one with the poorest execution I have ever had the "privilege" to own.
Summary: This review is a rating of Samsung model BDFM59C, purchased at Costco rather than Amazon. They may be very similar, in which case I strongly advise against it. The online access to the internet is so balky, cumbersome, time-consuming as to make this BluRay player a waste of money.
Summary: I am amazed after reading all these reviews on Amazon, that not a single person mentions this BD-EM59 player will NOT stream Amazon prime movies. What even bothers me more is that the COSTCO rep said this player could stream the movies, so that is the major reason I bought it.
