Summary: This product didn't even work. Put DVD in runs for 5 seconds then stops. I tried several blue rays and still didn't work. Don't order this product. What really stinks is that I ordered a remote for this before got this player. SO know I have a remote and no dvd player. The seller says he tested it. whatever. The packaging that in came in was far from adequate. Avoid this one.
Not a quality piece of consumer electronics - but it works

Summary: This player barely works. The UI is sluggish, when you push the power button, the display shows 'OFF' long before it actually stops outputting video. It just doesn't feel like a quality piece of consumer electronics. It's improved a bit with updates over time from Samsung, so if you're having issues, hook it up to your network and take the updates.
Summary: Good DVD performance, good app store. Takes way too long to load, and streaming breaks up. This is on the current one, This is a replacement for another same unit because the other had jerky sound. Amazing Samsung still keeps making money?
Summary: I got this product about a year ago since I started to use Netflix. I will get straight to the point. This product is ok at playing movies and Netflix, but the features within them are awful. For example, the fast forward and reverse when watching movies DVD is awful. It skips too fast. Netflix is a pain to open since the device takes a while to load depending on the internet speed. The worst is when the video freezes and the device must restart.
Summary: Due to my overwhelming experiences with modern consumer media electronics, all my consumer media electronics purchases are now from Costco (sorry Amazon). Bought this player a year ago @ Costco, played DVDs and BDs OK. The screen navigation is a little clunky, but OK. However, a month ago, when I decided to watch the America's Cup finals on YouTube, the unit would consistently hang up, either during startup, or partway through the video.
Summary: Big disappointment as we decided to get rid of Netflix, because of issues with buffering, and go with Amazon which works well in our living room on the Sony Bravia TV. For some reason, there is no Amazon app for this player and apparently no plans for an upgrade path. Will be looking for something else.
