Software/firmware updates have resolved ALL of the issues with this player!

Summary: I just received this player with, I must admit, some trepidation, based on some of the awful reviews that I've read here...thankfully, I ignored them and bought this player based on the few outstanding reviews that have been posted...and I'm glad I did! Straight out of the box, I plugged it in, turned it on, and started going through the setup procedure..
Fixed after firmware .. difficult firmware upgrade

Summary: OK, GREAT BluRay player, with a few relatively minor difficulties.. First the Pros, it is price competitive, is 3D, has a great picture reproduction and is easy to use. Also, the divice talks directly to my Samsung TV that can turn it on, off and control many of the player functions. Redundant in my setup is the whole SmartHub thing, since that's on my TV, but if you are pairing this with an older, less sophisticted TV this might be useful for you.
Summary: This is a great product and it has made my TV a smart one except for the Amazon Prime Video ease of viewing. Samsung on this player does not have an Amazon Prime App it has many others such as Netflix and it works fantastic in my wireless network. Initially the Samsug Web Internet connection didn't work but after about 10 days I received an email from Samsung that the Web Internet had been fixed and I have verified that in fact it has and works well.
Excerpt: I bought it for the full browser to watch online series, but does not work as I expected and as others I've seen, I can not play videos from any website. The Wifi connection runs slow even though I have 20 mb, crashes all the time due to lack of memory ... My Vizio TV works much faster and has better quality. I have some kind of disappointed with it so I going to return it, to buy another one with internet tv or google tv.
