My purchase of this new Samsung was mainly for streaming online movies...

Summary: I find the process very time consuming and not at all what I expected, setting up the player was a job within its self, I tried to get help or some answers but nothing.... Every widget that seem to be needed to play a certain game or run one of the steps do not seem to work...
Summary: My overall opinion with this player is that it's not worth the money. I bought this at a local store and set it up immediately when I got home. Once starting it, there were multiple software updates which took a good 15 - 20 minutes. The simple set-up is easy and quick.
A blu-ray player should play well (this does) but play well with others too (not so much)

Summary: For reference, I'm an audiophile, a techy guy, a software engineer, and very competent when it comes to electronics. I bought this device to get internet-capable features like Netflix and Hulu onto a "dumb" LCD TV.
Summary: I own three Samsung's SmartHub devices, a Samsung 40in 1080p 120Hz 3D Slim LED Smart TV (UN40ES6500F), Samsung BD-EM59C 3-d Blu-ray Disc Player and this Samsung BD-E5900 3-d Blu-ray Disc Player.
Pros: This is a good 3D Blu-ray player with Samsung's SmartHub capability. Overall a pretty good player. Unfortunately this players software issues and Samsung's poor support makes this specific player a no-go.
Cons: The SmartHub implementation on this player is buggy, and Samsung's message board is full of complaints about it. Especially the Hulu app, which simply does not work. Samsung has received a lot of complaints about this, but seems to be in a state of denial.
Summary: It works fine. However it is VERY slow to do anything...click play... open app... turn on like 1998 56k modem slow like not kidding if I had the do over I would have bought something different.
Summary: I'll try to update this later, but for now the unit isn't working right. I tried to work with Samsung so long that I missed the chance to return it for exchange. Finally, after weeks of delays from Samsung, I finally sent it in for repair... at my (postage) expense.
Summary: I have 2 different 3d blue ray players. One I love the other I do not. This one I do not and here is why: The good: This unit plays 3d blue ray disks as it should. Video quality is very good. The unit is small and compact, allowing it to fit just about anywhere.
Summary: I had a C6500 and now have the E6500. I bought it to stream Blockbuster on Demand which Samsung and BB say works on Smart player and TV. Ha! It says "Coming Soon" on the app on the player. All the other features are completely worthless! Don't waste your money buying this.
Netflix Does Not Work Properly (same as my Samsung TV)

Summary: I have the latest firmware and spent an hour with Samsung Customer support, they cannot get Netflix to work. They claim it is a known issue with their server and it will be fixed in 24 hours. Issue has been escalated to tier 2. Technical support is weak.
