Solid Blu-Ray player - works great with Homeplug AV adapter
19 November 2013
Summary: I got a refurb unit from BB for $35 about 8 months ago. Even though this does not have wifi, I preferred this over other expensive wifi models, as I could easily get a few Homeplug AVs for the difference and stream data from my router to this unit through my electricity line. Discs: I have played blu-ray discs that I borrowed from the local library, and I have not noticed any issues thus far. No lags or freeze ups when playing any sort of dics on this player.
Doesn't remember location in DVD, doesn't playback mp4's
9-11 Was An Inside Job, Amazon

Summary: This Samsung player doesn't remember the location in the DVD where I was when I turned the unit off. Also, most of the mp4 files I've downloaded from the web and burned to DVD don't play, even though the tech specs claim the unit supports mp4. A bit slow on reading disc.
Summary: Many of the fancy features this machine offers are a total pain in the butt to activate unless you have it wired to your laptop constantly. So yes it's a great basic blue ray player. But don't buy it for the extra features.
Summary: The one I got must have been refurbished without my knowledge because The usb port doesnt work. It sucks because The movies my hubby can out on his usb we arent able to watch on the bluray. The disc part works just fine though....just wish everything works how it was supposed to...
Summary: This product is very difficult to use. When using the player you are unable to determine if the device is on or off because the indicator light is on top of the device, totally out of sight. It is hard to determine how to get most of the features to work after it set up as well.
Summary: The player was easy to install and displays properly however, it does NOT remember where in a movie it was. Specifically, if you are watching a movie, stop and turn it off (to finish it later), when you turn it back on, it starts at the very beginning of the DVD: ie with the FBI warning. I have gotten these same results with many different DVDs so it is not a DVD problem.
Summary: It is what it is. Its a regular blu ray player that has a few apps to connect to. I thought that it was wireless and was extremely disappointed that it wasn't. And the apps are extremely limited; Netflix, Pandora, youtube, vudu and cinemanow. I do use Netflix and have had no problems with connections, speeds or anything else. It was plug n play instantly right of the box in less than 10 min start to finish with zero issues.
Summary: For the price this is an okay player. Insert disk and it plays. Number one issue is that the if you don't have time to finish watching your movie you have to note the chapter you stopped at because this player does not remember.
Summary: I ordered this to use in my bedroom and so I could watch Netflix however I soon discovered that it's not even "Wifi ready" as stated in the description. This one has to be plugged in to be able to use the apps it has.
