Audio problems

Michael G. Carland "mcarland", Amazon
19 January 2014
  • Summary: Wish I had never bought this. Frequently when playing Bluray discs, about 3/4 to 4/5 of the way in, the audio turns off. Multiple titles, so I doubt it is the disc. Have to turn the player off, back on, wait for the trailers you can't skip to finish again, and jump to the chapter I was at. Very frustrating experience.

Excellent graphics but painfully slow load times

Indigoshawn, Amazon
8 August 2013
  • Summary: The player looks great and works okay. It just takes FOREVER to load a disk... Sometimes it takes twice as along as forever and it gets frustrating. I don't know why it takes so long once the disk is in for it to pull of the menu. Once it does start playing though, it is crisp, clear and great with color.

The item showed up broken and I can't replace it.

Chuck Mercieca, Amazon
30 May 2013
  • Summary: Upon opening the packaging, it was obvious that the retractable door covering the disk tray was broken. In attempting to get the unit replaced, I find that I have to ship the broken unit back, wait two days after receipt for a refund, and can't simply have the units swapped out. This SUCKS!!

Hidden costs for Wireless LAN Adapter

Deanna L. Mosler "DLM", Amazon
10 December 2012
  • Summary: This product requires a Wireless LAN Adapter that is not included with the product. Ordering the product online is not easy and you may spend 10 minutes on the phone to purchase this additional $61 item. Just so you know I reviewed this product carefully before purchasing the the adapter is NOT mentioned as a separate purchase. Buyer beware.

Internet Features Are A Joke

B. Watson "Technology Professional", Amazon
4 July 2012
  • Summary: I like Samsung, and normally love their products. If all you want is a Bluray player and don't care about the other features, it's probably fine. I bought this unit for it's internet ready features and found them sorely lacking. So much so I returned the unit. Specifically: *The interface was rather slow to navigate. *Adding "Apps" wasn't completely horrible, but it is more complicated than it could be. It's very time consuming to add multiple apps.

"I bought this just to play movies from BD & ext HD."

Yan_Borja, CNET
14 May 2012
  • Pros: Reasonable price and delivers amazing sound and video.
  • Cons: Slow internet connectivity and streaming. Remote control response is not that fast (but compare to other brand on the same price point, this is okay). Probably after a few firmware updates, Samsung will fix these issues,

Good with a small issue

W. Shannon, Amazon
26 April 2012
  • Summary: For under $100 this player works great. I mainly use this player to watch movies and have not used any of the online apps yet because most of this content is repetitive to what is offered on my TV and Apple TV. I was able to program the remote which I got from AT&T to work with this, and it can even do advanced stuff without issues which means one less remote needs to be left out another plus.
