  • Conclusion: Audio performance was also very good. Onboard decoding and undecoded bitstream options worked well, with excellent surround processing using either method.

Playlist Samsung BD-C7900

13 December 2010
  • Excerpt: (1 items) The Samsung BD-C7900 produces images that are among the best we've seen. This $260 3D Blu-ray player also has two HDMI ports, which saves users with 3D HDTVs from having to make a difficult decision regarding audio output. It's easy to use and fast, and it comes with a good selection of Internet and multimedia capabilities. Our lab doesn't test 3D image quality, but the 2D quality wavered between very good and superb.
  • Pros: Great image quality, Can play 3D Blu-ray, Two HDMI ports, Cool-looking light system on top--where it won't distract you, Fine multimedia offerings, Can convert all audio to DTS
  • Cons: No physical buttons on player, Some confusion in how multimedia works

Samsung BD-C7900 Blu-ray 3D Player Review

23 November 2010
  • Conclusion: Samsung's BD-C7900 does just about everything right, and it does so in a way that you have to question how other manufacturers are doing it. With so many choices for content, the beauty and ease of use of the interface, to the above average performance, it's hard to see why someone would chose a different player. Oh, right, the cost. That would be a good reason. With a list price of $400, the BD-C7900 is one of the more expensive of the mainstream BD players.
  • Pros: Lights up all pretty, User interface is gorgeous and easy to use, Pretty much every streaming option you can imagine, Lights up all pretty, User interface is gorgeous and easy to use, Pretty much every streaming option you can imagine
  • Cons: Remote a little confusing in the dark, A little on the pricy side (though you can likely find it cheaper)
