Summary: I already had one of these models. It gave me problems with "The life of PI" 3 D. I looked for any firmware releases for this product and there was a new version released March of 2013. This really cleared up the playing problem and made the whole (boot/playing) time quicker. Definitely a good bargain today.
Works great with Samsung TV and NETGEAR wireless net.

Summary: I have the Samsung BD-C6900 3-D Blu-ray that had a "blinking/flashing" video output. It started doing this from day 1 out of the box. I got it to stop by Turning OFF the (DEEP COLOR; Blu-ray) (Settings, Display, HDMI Deep Color=ON "turn to OFF") "Default Was ON" I was getting the interference every 2-15 seconds regardless of what I was watching; (Player menus, Netflix, USB, CD/DVD movies) It has only been 11 months so far It has not messed up once.
Pros: Player automatically connects with my Samsung TV when I turn the player on. Don't need to mess with remotes telling what devices need to be connected. Plays videos from my USB thumb drive. I like the user menu interface. "Touch" interface on player.
Cons: Player had "blinking/flashing" video output. Fix is in the Summery., I don't like the apps that seem to constantly need updates.
Summary: People, if you aren't tech savvy, please have someone who is help you. I bought this player as a returned unit, probably from one of the people giving a 1 star review, and it works flawlessly. If your discs are not playing properly, that is one thing. You probably have a defective player, and you should contact Samsung about a replacement. But if you cannot get it setup on your network or can't figure out the features, that is on you.
Summary: After a bit of reasearch, I decided my first Blu-ray player would be the Samsung BD-C6900. I am an audiophile/videophile so I'm very picky about performance. The decision to make this purchase was predicated on the fact that I have a Samsung LCD display that has proved to be an exceptional high-def television.
Netflix Streaming - Beware with Large Screen TV, If Internet speed is Slow
3 February 2011
Summary: The Samsung BD-C6900 provides superior quality movies from Blu-ray discs. The additional features such as Netflix and VuDu streaming that are included, via an internet connection, with the C6900 are great. ONE PROBLEM! If your Internet service provider (in my case Qwest DSL cable, delivers at speeds less then 2mbs the quality is NOT high definition, at least on large screen TV's (mine is the new Mitsubishi Laser 75-A91).
Great player, astounding video/audio, internet; very impressed.

Summary: (A tip to other reviewers: Don't rate an item if you don't own it. Some of these reviews are from people who haven't even seen this player!) This item arrived quickly, on a Saturday to our surprise, via Fedex. It's a gorgeous (if you like simple/shiny black) piece of AV equipment. At first, we were dismayed by what we thought were little scratches on the top - it was just a piece of protective plastic on it that is removable; it does have a flawless finish.
Summary: The only Samsung blu ray player with Hulu+ app on the market at the time of this review. That being said, it's worth the extra few dollars for that alone. Love the Netflix and Blockbuster apps. Haven't had much time to explore other apps, but there are quite a few. Using it with a Samsung 42 inch LCD and the quality is awesome.
Summary: For those of you that are complaining about the streaming, make sure your WiFi is set to either 802.11b or 802.11g or 802.11n. My streaming was slow, so I grabbed the user manual and it tells you not to use the 802.11b/g setting - pick one or the other. Sure enough, streaming for even the Vudu HDx videos kept up, and I don't have a terribly fast connection.
The all in one Samsung is more than you could ever hope for
21 December 2010
Summary: I have bought 2 of Samsung's latest Blu-Ray-3D Wi-FI Enabled players after doing The BD-C6800 & the BD-C6900. Both players are almost the same except for one the (6900) upscales DVD's a little better than the other and the outputs on the back are different with small fascia changes and as of right now late December 2010 the 6900 has HULU plus and a few more APP's that the 6800 can't get but Samsung says they plan to roll out more app's for everything which a lot of other...
