Summary: This Blu-ray player has a power save function that automatically turns the system off after 25 minutes of inactivity. A feature that cannot be turned off. Why is this a problem you might ask? For instance if you are watching a movie and decide you don't have the time to watch it in one setting this feature will affect you. The player does not remember where you left off during the movie after it turns itself off.
Summary: Samsung's BD-C6900 is one of the first Blu-ray 3D players on the market (the other being Panasonic's DMP-BDT300 and upcoming DMP-BDT350). As a first generation Blu-ray 3D player, you have to expect a few glitches (and you'll get them), but if you're itching to watch 3D TV at home in full HD 1080p, this player will get the job done, with a few nice perks and one potentially major caveat.
Summary: I had difficulty with the first 3d disk I played - Despicable Me. The playback "hic-cupped" (stop-go-stop-go) the way a video download plays on a computer when there in not adequate buffering. I unplugged the BD-C6900 player for a few minutes. It worked fine when I restarted it. Latter in the movie I paused it for a few moments. When I restarted the audio and visual were not synchronized. Video lagged behind audio by a second or two.
Summary: The wireless connectivity with the bd-c6900 blu-ray player is simply horrible. I can't get the unit to connect with my linksys g router unless I am 6 ft away or closer even though it shows 5 bars from 30 ft away. At first I thought maybe it's my router, so I went to my brother's house and tried the wireless there. It won't connect at his house either even from 8 ft away with a range booster attached to his router in the same room.
Summary: Just a few things overlooked in the review: 1.) There are some glitches with the internet functionality, setup, and disc compatibility functions, as this was the very first 3D blu-ray player ever available. Most of the problems have been addressed and fixed on the newly released: Samsung BD-C7900 1080p 3D Blu-ray Disc Player 2.) In order to get a true 3D picture, you need: a.
Summary: With a week of usage, these are my impressions (subject to change) - Super light - Sleek - Very fast uploads - Good 3D performance (not great, but decent) - Works well with 3d glasses - Widgets are decent - hooking up the wireless connection was relatively painless - Anynet function with samsung tv is a very good feature - For best picture give the HDMI 1.4 connection to the TV..
BD Player that can't remember the previous location if powered off.

Summary: For the price range, it has all the features it suppose to have and works well in all those aspects as it is suppose to, Netflix works flawlessly, i dont have audio and video synch issue as others), i dont want to go over all the technical details already coverd but highlight couple of things i feel that are missing in this player The Biggest Problem: Player doesnt remember the previous location where it stopped in the middle of the DVD movie if you switch off the player...
Summary: Don't get me wrong, this Blu-ray DVD player puts out a beautiful picture when it's working, but it overheats to the point that it doesn't work anymore. Thank god for Amazon's no hassle returns policy because I had to send my first one back due to the fact that it stopped playing Blu-ray movies. Now with my new one I've propped it up on blocks so it can get good air flow. It looks super cheesy but it seems to help. I expected more for my $400.
Summary: The first player that was shipped to us did not work. Yes we tried updating the firmware but it would not play any discs. Fortunately Amazon made it easy and fast to exchange it for another player. The second player has played all the discs we have tried. We are having trouble streaming video with Netflix. I can watch Netflix on my desktop, on my laptop and on my Samsung unc7000 TV but not on the Blu Ray player.
