WAY too many Blu-ray discs frozen &/or skipped scenes.

Kennywolf, CNET
14 July 2012
  • Summary: I tested a couple of my "bad" discs using a Play Station which played fine.
  • Pros: Clean design. Easy to read status. Easy to update firmware.
  • Cons: Slow loading Blu-Ray discs. Scenes frozen & skipped. "Snow" in several scenes. Too hoops to access internet sites. Remote difficult to feel by touch.

It's fairly unrefined. Decent first try but it has issues.

Kevin H., Amazon
24 July 2011
  • Summary: I've had this Blu-ray player for just over a year. It has good features but the implementation is a bit lacking. Overall, I have enjoyed using this player that came free with my Samsung UN46C8000. The 3D playback is good and the internet features are useful.

Buy only if you are NOT using NETFLIX

Amazon Customer, Amazon
22 January 2011
  • Summary: My main interest in gettting this was the wireless connectivity and Netflix. The DVD/Bluray discs play well. I am surprised that Samsung has not fixed the universally know bug with this product about the NETLIX movie streaming. The video lags the audio about 2-4secs.

Some features do not work, period

WizardClassics, Amazon
15 December 2010
  • Summary: Just got it so have not used a lot so far. Plays 3D movies fine. The "aps", well other than the weather most are just things you have to pay to use, and sometimes pay for the ap itself to boot. My main issue is the allshare connection to PC.

Buggy With Poor Support

P. Colin McGraw "AV, Computer & EnviroTech Nut", Amazon
14 November 2010
  • Summary: I have a Samsung 2D TV and a Pioneer A/V Receiver, and there's something about my setup that this Blu Ray player just doesn't want to work with. I like the player's style, LED lighting and buttonless touch-sensative controls and I read on CNET that the picture quality of this player is top-notch...

I Love This Player!!! Insanely fast for a Bluray Player.

----john J. Butera, Amazon
17 September 2010
  • Summary: I have had this player for about a month and I love this player so this is a review in progress. The player is remarkably slim with a blue lighted top for controls and a 3D logo and disk player area is also translucent and blue lit. I do not find them a distraction.

Be careful with buying this for Netflix HD playback!

sl0ttedpig, Amazon
11 September 2010
  • Summary: I'm not going to review the Blu-ray player part, as I think it's been very well reviewed by many other people, and I would totally agree the Blu-ray playback is very good. My 2 stars are for Blu-ray playback only! However, I am going to write about the built-in Apps, and more importantly Netflix.

Did someone accidentally send me a beta version?

no_name_6543 "no_name_6543", Amazon
7 September 2010
  • Summary: Afraid Samsung rushed to market with this system... lots of bugs yet to be worked out. I just hope Samsung can do it in the coming months through firmware updates. If you're interested in the internet features of this device, you should know that Hulu access is limited to those with Hulu Plus...

Mihaela Popescu-Stanesti, Amazon

  • Summary: I received this Samsung BD player this free with a Samsung plasma. This device for some reason doesn't get near the wireless bandwidth as other devices and thus fails to stream Netflix properly.

  • Summary: I purchase this the BD-C6900 with a samsung 58" 3d plasma. There are a lot of features and wireless was easy to setup, I use it a lot, Blu Rays are quick to load and I have yet to have any problem playing anything. I do use it to stream netflix.
