Summary: Horrible machine. DVD and blu-ray disc would skip and/or freeze. Recently it stopped reading Blu-ray discs. Nothing seems to work, even after updating the firmware. I am sick of it. Would not recomend this machine.
Summary: I already had one of these models. It gave me problems with "The life of PI" 3 D. I looked for any firmware releases for this product and there was a new version released March of 2013. This really cleared up the playing problem and made the whole (boot/playing) time quicker. Definitely a good bargain today.
Works great with Samsung TV and NETGEAR wireless net.

Summary: I have the Samsung BD-C6900 3-D Blu-ray that had a "blinking/flashing" video output. It started doing this from day 1 out of the box. I got it to stop by Turning OFF the (DEEP COLOR; Blu-ray) (Settings, Display, HDMI Deep Color=ON "turn to OFF") "Default Was ON" I was getting the interference every 2-15 seconds regardless of what I was watching; (Player menus, Netflix, USB, CD/DVD movies) It has only been 11 months so far It has not messed up once.
Pros: Player automatically connects with my Samsung TV when I turn the player on. Don't need to mess with remotes telling what devices need to be connected. Plays videos from my USB thumb drive. I like the user menu interface. "Touch" interface on player.
Cons: Player had "blinking/flashing" video output. Fix is in the Summery., I don't like the apps that seem to constantly need updates.
It's fairly unrefined. Decent first try but it has issues.

Summary: I've had this Blu-ray player for just over a year. It has good features but the implementation is a bit lacking. Overall, I have enjoyed using this player that came free with my Samsung UN46C8000. The 3D playback is good and the internet features are useful. But because of the annoyances below, I'm now looking for a new Blu-ray player that is more refined.
Summary: The blue ray player will not work with most blue ray discs released in the last 4 months. They sent me one firmware update and that doesn't work. Samsung stated the do not have another update and won't for at least 2 months. Thus, the player is worthless unless I want to play older released movies.
Summary: Horrible wi fi, MANY PROBLEMS STREAMING NETFLIX and hulu. Costomer support is horrible. My Netflix does not work for two months and samsung is saying they will fix it in the next two months with out shipping a new one out... I have had it only four months and have had nothing but problems with Internet tv and play back of reg DVDs!!!I do Not recommend this product at all, nothing but trouble and not support at all.
Pros: If it works then...
Cons: Horrible wi fi, MANY PROBLEMS STREAMING NETFLIX and hulu. Costomer support is horrible. Plays reg DVD with skips between scenes
Summary: I got this player for my birthday and it worked great for the first 4 months. After that it only plays my blu-ray discs half the time, which is always a big hit with my kids. On my third service call with Samsung, they told me something was defective with player. They said I needed to send my player back in for 3 weeks and charged me $50 to look at it.
Summary: Excellent player. The picture using DVD, BluRay or Netflix s as good as I can imagine it to be. I was surprised that even on DVD I got a major boost in quality compared to my old DVD player (5 years old?). The Netflix picture is better (!) than when streaming on Xbox or AppleTV: all displayed on the same Samsung Plasma (63") and Onkyo AV receiver. Also noticed only one Netflix streaming issue (has to rebuffer) in > 100 movies streamed.
Summary: People, if you aren't tech savvy, please have someone who is help you. I bought this player as a returned unit, probably from one of the people giving a 1 star review, and it works flawlessly. If your discs are not playing properly, that is one thing. You probably have a defective player, and you should contact Samsung about a replacement. But if you cannot get it setup on your network or can't figure out the features, that is on you.
