Summary: I'm sitting here writing this review after power-cycling for the third time. Eventually, The "not connected to the internet- check connection" will stop, and I will be able to get to netflix. The disc player works most of the time. There are some discs it will not play, and simply unloads about 30 seconds after I load the disc. The biggest dissapointment is the wireless.
Summary: Purchased from Amazon. Wish it had broken down sooner because I would have returned it if possible. I've had the unit for about 4 months now. At first I used it only for DVD viewing and Neflix access and it worked flawlessly. Finally I started watching Blu Ray discs on it and ran into a problem. When a Blu Ray disc is paused for more than a couple of minutes the television screen saver comes on (Samsung 50' plasma TV).
Good player, but the wireless set up could drive you insane

Summary: I was blown away by the quality of the picture from this player. Setting up the wireless to connect to my router was the WORST experience of my life. This is the reason why I'm giving only 2 stars. After buying the player and getting the infamous "Gateway Ping test fail", I searched for the solution to this problem. Turns out there are a TON of folks out there facing this problem. My earlier research prior to buying this product had not uncovered this issue.

Summary: I purchased this unit to replace my Oppo DVD player and wanted it specifically for streaming Netflix in HD to my 61 inch panel (as well as playing Blu rays). I tested my wireless network with two laptops at each end of my house and both were averaging over 12Mbps using Speedtest. When the Samsung arrived I went through the initial setup without issue and proceeded to do a network speedtest using Samsung's built in utility.
Summary: I guess I'm not the first reviewer to note that this device has a woefully over-hyped and non-functional WIFI capability. Unfortunately I did not scroll down thru enough reviews before I ordered. And so sadly I join the chorus to warn that if you need WIFI connectivity, don't bother. You'll waste many hours of precious time fruitlessly attempting to coax this Samsung unit to connect to your WIFI network.
Summary: Plugged it in & spent ages setting up the wifi options. Eventually, got all that sorted and all seemed well until I tried to play a disc, but it refused to play any disc of any kind. Sent back & got a refund. Shame, it seemed ok, if a bit laggy.
Summary: If it hadn't made itself seem more than it is, I'd be very happy with this player. As the listed features seem more impressive, their functionality gets more disappointing, so in descending order: The basics work well, Blu-Rays & DVD's are no problem and it plays 90% of files I've tried from the USB. It's accepted a range of different drives too - my biggest (1.5tb) only takes about 10s to be recognized.
Summary: Those expecting to see bbc iplayer and lovefilm will sadly be dissapointed as this player doesnt support either -yet, you get a app on the screen with love film and the words COMING SOON . when i googled this i found a forums back in May saying that this message had been saying the same thing . I have tried to phone samsung and like alot most reviews on this page got no answers.
