Summary: Still works great. We really do not use this player much anymore with the advent of "smart TV". However it does have "smart TV features built in that work just fine for me. I do have a few 3-D movies and watching them is quite an experience.
Summary: Got this Blu-ray player free as part of the Cyber Monday bundle when I bought my 55" LED Samsung TV in Nov 2010. 1 star dropped since it doesn't have built in WiFi. I had to buy a Samsung WiFi dongle (Samsung WIS09ABGN WIRELESS LINKSTICK WIS09ABGN2 USB LAN Adapter FOR SAMSUNG 2009 - 2010 & 2011 BLU-RAY PLAYERS, 2010 & 2011 SAMSUNG TVs) to connect to my Samsung TV. The player works well and haven't had any problems since Nov 2010.
Summary: It worked but was flakey at best. I ended up replacing it with a Panasonic model. This really is the only Samsung device I've owned that I wasn't impressed with. All my other Samsung items have been great so I guess one mediocre one isn't unheard of. It just had issues sometimes loading bluray discs and more frequently loading DVDs. It would start to load the disc and then just hang up requiring it to be turned off and back on.
Summary: I have to reboot the machine to get it to recognize a movie. I use to think it was the CD but I kept trying and once I turned the player off and back on it would read the CD. Very frustrating.
Summary: I got this when we re-did the system in Family Room and Kitchen before having a birthday party in Fall, 2011. I should have known something was up when the home theater company that sold us and set up the centerpiece Samsung TV, told me that, in general, Samsung Blu Ray players don't rate well. Sure enough, during the last two years, and despite the updates, this unit remains slow to upload, and refuses - just refuses to play some Blu Ray or DVD discs I drop in its tray.
Summary: I bought this 3D Blu Ray Player with my UN55D8000 to go in my Man Cave. I have had no problems with it since I owned it, which is a couple years now. I always make sure the firmware is up to date and it works perfect. I have not owned any other brand products to compare this to, especially 3D but I love it and my kids love it.
Pros: Bright display, Inexpensive, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight, easy to use

Summary: I love this device as a whole and mainly because the hardware looks and works awesome. I havn't had any problems with the player itself or the remote which automatically works perfectly with my new samsung smart tv! As usual, the software and the user interface could use a bit of refining. The biggest negative I found with this device is the lack of ability to connect to wifi, that's right it must be hard wired with an ethernet cable.
Summary: I love Samsung products, including 2 of their TVs, and an SSD. But this DVD player falls flat. The interface is painfully slow, and sometimes it doesn't read DVDs at all. Spring in the dvd door broke early on as well. The touch buttons look nice, but they aren't that functional, especially when the unit is so slow to respond. You'll find yourself hitting the buttons repeatedly thinking nothing is happening.
