Pioneer BDP-LX52

What Hi-Fi?
17 January 2010
  • Excerpt: This much we know: Pioneer has put its name to some stunning plasma TVs and Blu-ray players. As the company is no longer in the business of doing the former, it makes new examples of the latter all the more exciting. The BDP-LX52 is the second product we've seen from Pioneer's latest trilogy of BD players, and it follows the BDP-320 , which won a Supertest with ease. Costing £150 more, the 'LX52's specification is similar.
  • Pros: Smart styling and easy control, full spec for HD AV, clean, detailed and colourful images, clear, punchy sound
  • Cons: No multichannel analogue outputs

Pioneer BDP-LX52 Blu-ray player review

Pocket Lint
9 October 2009
  • Excerpt: When it comes to Blu-ray players, Pioneer always puts performance high on the agenda, an approach that’s made it the darling of the home cinema cognoscenti. All of its decks to date have delivered stunning picture and sound quality, usually accompanied by tank-like build quality and generous connections. If there’s a weakness it’s features - Pioneer’s players lack the envelope-pushing pizzazz of Panasonic or Samsung, but perhaps the BDP-LX52 can redress the balance.
  • Pros: Picture and sound quality, build quality
  • Cons: Slow disc loading, won’t play media from USB, no Wi-Fi or multichannel outputs

Pioneer BDP-LX52: teurer Player mit tollem Bild

29 October 2009
