Summary: Opted for this instead of spending $500 on the Oppo player. Having had previous Pioneer Elite players, I knew the quality was going to be good. I was not sure of the Oppo as am not familiar with the company. In the Professional setting, hands down beats my Panasonic 3D Blu-Ray Player.

Summary: I purchased the BDP-62 using chase points on my CC. Received it today and im impressed. Much better picture and sound than my old panasonic blue ray. I bought a $50 netgear wireless network connector and it works fine with the unit. I now control my SC-65 and BDP-62 using my ipad.

As we all do in product development, we "Borrow" as much as we can to speed production and in this case the Pioneer folk borrowed Internet...

Summary: This unit meets all my requirements for excellent picture and sound quality. I wish this unit had better access to video streaming via built in Wi-Fi and more choices. I would have rated this unit 5 stars if it had these features. This is a superb unit for movie watching and listening to good music.
