Summary: Excellent Blu-Ray Player. We watch movies from various regions on a regular basis; we accumulated the mass of DVD's and Blu-Ray disks from different regions as a result of moving from continent to continent. It's nice to have just the one player and not three or four.
Summary: I bought this early on when they came out, late 2012 or so. It is now mid 2014 and feel it's just an average blu-ray player. I'm most baffled by the current price as I got mine for substantially less. I like it as a player and feel it's hardware is just fine once you have your TV setup correctly.
Summary: And so ends my life long commitment to Pioneer. They have terrible warranties and terrible products.
Pros: Matches my other pioneer equipment.
Cons: BluRay support is terrible on this unit. Most of the latest titles will freeze half way through and will not pick up playback after that. Latest firmware only helps it unfreeze but randomly skip 30 second intervals whenever it has difficulty with the disk. Unit 1yr 3mo old, out of warranty, cost ...
Summary: Amazing picture quality on ALL BD's and standard DVD's. Just follow the enclosed instructions and ALL codes and regions play first time. Quiet operation and fast loading for all disc's. Plan on purchasing one more for spare room use. Pioneer did a great job on this one.
Summary: I wanted a player to play discs regardless of the zone. This one is easy to use, nice price compared to what I saw when I did my research. Movies are played with excellent quality in my HD LED TV. There are other players with more features.
Summary: I was very excited to receive this product. Once received the first thing I saw was that this product has been altered from the original, as the packaging had been opened, and then saw that the CD tray did not open or close and made a rattling sound when powering the unit.
Summary: I bought this because it is supposed to be region free and as I lived in many countries around the world I have DVDs and Blu-Ray discs from all different regions. But so far no luck. Yes it allows me to change the regions manually, but it still rejects the DVDs.
Summary: Works almost flawlessly, some issues with factory firmware and dlna, rarely and randomly stops seeing the network shared resources, which gets fixed by rebooting the device. It has happens twice to me, I have not tried to upgrade the firmware though, it may have already been fixed
