Excerpt: Can't give it a zero. Player was defective out of the box. Never loaded a disc after the third or fourth effort. The first couple of tries, a movie would begin, and the in the middle it would try to reload and start over. The fast forward search feature was useless.... Not applicable, and after a SHORT time it would NOT even load a disc. Obviously, the durability is suspect. Philips is aware of the problems, or they are in outer space.
Excerpt: We received this as a Christmas gift. I'm not very patient when it comes to programming or adding cords to our tv but this was easy. It plays well and has never skipped. It is also very lighweight and slim so it fits neatly in out entertainment center.
Excerpt: This was a nice dvd player that I recently purchased.I was extremely happy with the price and ease of usability. My only problem was trying to make it work with a universal remote, other then that there where no problems. They color was a nice color, and the display is not too bright.I would recomend this as a present.
Excerpt: This is a great DVD Player. It is cheap and good quality. It will play most of your files, it even plays .avi files, which is great if you're from a foreign country and like to watch your movies in the .avi format. Slick and simple design is very user friendly.
Excerpt: we have two of these and really enjoy them...they are a great deal for your money. we have had two previously to these but have given them away because we moved..silly us! but when we went to buy again we went right back to them bacause they are a great value for your money...so buy now and don't regret your choice on a cheaper one that has no features.
Excerpt: I got this DVD player for Christmas. It was my first one, but it was easy to use. I have seen other people use DVD players so I was sort of familiar with DVD technology. The player does well and it is fairly small and flat which is good for someone who does not have much room. Now new life is brought to movies I saw years ago on the VCR. The remote control is white which makes it less likely to lose.
Excerpt: I got one of these for around 40 bucks, and now I can watch all my regular DVDs in Hi-Def. The images and sound are crystal clear. You won't get a better picture from a more expensive unit; HD is HD is HD. Keep in mind, you WILL have to buy an HDMI cable as there is not one included, but once you do, you're all set. Don't let the movie studios fool you into thinking you have to buy all your movies again in Blu-Ray or whatever.
