The Philips BDP8000 is a Blu-ray player that is powered by Qdeo™ processing. Qdeo™ is a range of video processing technologies that produces quiet and natural video with optimized color, contrast, detail and a sense of depth. Qdeo™ works with all kinds of video sources, including Blu-ray, DVD and low quality Internet video. The unit also supports Full HD 1920 x 1080 resolution, and with special glasses provides users with full-HD 3D viewing experience. It also features Net TV that allows users to movies, pictures, infotainment and other online contents directly on a TV via the Philips Blu-ray Disc player. Other features include DivX Plus HD Certification that supports the playback of DivX Plus content (H.264 HD video with high-quality AAC audio in an MKV file container); WiFi-n connectivity, also known as IEEE 802.11n, that is backward compatible; has DLNA Network link that provides access to personal photos, music, videos or movies on a PC or Home Network. The Philips BDP8000 supports a 12 bit / 150MHz digital analog converter, BD Video, BD-ROM, BD-R/RE 2.0, DVD, DVD-Video, DVD+R/+RW, DVD-R/-RW, Video CD/SVCD, CD, CD-R/CD-RW, and USB flash drive media; DivX Plus™ HD, H.264, MPEG2, VC-1, AVCHD, MKV, WMV, and XviD file format; has DTS-HD Master Audio, Dolby True HD, Dolby Digital Plus, and DTS sound technology; and supports the following input and output interface: HDMI output, Component Video output, Digital optical out, Digital coaxial out, Composite video (CVBS) output, Analog audio 7.1 channel out, Analog audio Left/Right out, Ethernet and SD/SDHC Card slot.
