Summary: The BIGGEST and ONLY diappointment with this unit is Walmart list in their description as having built in WiFi ... IT DOES NOT... What it has has is a wired ethernet connection but can not hold that against the product but Walmart ... It does every thing it is supposed to do and does it very well.. Plays Blu ray movies, DVD, plays MPEG, AVI and Flash movies from memory stick, Photos on TV from stick... Pictures/Movies looks awesome on my TV (Plasma 1080p HD TV) ...
Summary: I was looking for a blue ray DVD player that I could unlock, so that I can play dvd's from around the world, this one suited my purpose, because it does just that. The price was very good and deliver site to store was excellent.
Summary: I purchased this unit thinking it was going to be great because I wanted to stream Netflix as much as I wanted to do blu-ray. The player streams everything else ok, but cannot handle streaming HD from Netflix. It plays for about 10 seconds and freezes. In some cases I have had to unplug the device to reset it. I updated to the latest software and it still didn't work. I even moved my wifi closer thinking that it was a bandwidth issue. Nothing fixed it.
Summary: Disappointed that I need a separate wifi dongle...of course, sold separately, for another $40. So, this Blu Ray player wasn't as good a value, as I thought. The most frustrating part is that I didn't get to use this, when I received it...I had to order, and wait for, the dongle.
Summary: I have owned or purchased 3 of these DVD players. I bought one for myself because of the USB input option. It worked amazing, so I purchased one for my grandmother. Her's did not last long, and her HDMI output went bad. So I figured it was just random luck and I purchased one more to replace hers. I ordered a new one, but it came refurbished. Guess all of these units have problems if I'm receiving one as refurb.
Summary: This item arrived with no instructions so I was unable to install it and had to ask for help from my son-in-law who went to Walmart to buy a cable required to install it. Also the remote required triple A batteries. I ended up paying over $21.00 for the necessary part.
Summary: Works fine but even when using an ethernet cable Netflix still runs slow. So I really don't use Netflix as I thought I would. But this was purchased for a kids room so it will be used mostly for DVDs. Still a good item for the price paid. When It mentioned WIFI I didn't know I would have to buy a WIFI adapter or have an ethernet cable. So I couldn't hook it up until the next day after I brought the cable.
