Summary: This unit is great for a mid-size room. It isn't going to fill a large hall or anything, but is really good for most living rooms. Mids are a bit lacking, especially at higher volumes, but for $170 really can't be beat. The passive sub carries enough of a punch to give you that thump when listening to music or the rumble when watching action movies. All in all, a very nice unit for the price.
Summary: Sounds good to me! Real good sound for the buck, not overpowering but clean. The base and the lows sound best in the "Heavy" mode. Set up could not be any simpler and once on talks you through all the checks on screen.
Summary: For less than $200 this is a great system. This is my first venture into surround sound and also my first bluray player. I only rate it at 4 stars because most people tend to read the 4 star reviews. I am a network admin and love playing with electronics. I took a solid hour or more to setup the system and layout the speakers where I wanted, then connected the unit to the tv. I like to get things perfect and play around with little settings.
Summary: Great Budget home theatre that works flawlessly, great room filling sound. Also the only downside would be that a ethernet connection is the only connectivity method out of the Box but I knew that going in. The web enabled interfaces are a little sluggish but are fully functional.
Summary: We replaced Kenwood system with this one, because the Kenwood receiver was big and bulky. This one is more compact. Led to believe it had WIFI, which it did after buying the addapter through amazon. Okay for the price.
