Summary: had this just over 2 years and try not to use it as its very, very slow. it takes that long to load up that I have pressed it a second time thinking I hadnt turned it on and so switch it off. Bought to link to my panasonic tv which it does but its not up to the standard you would expect from panasonic.
Item faulty and Panasonic's dreadful customer service

Summary: In itself the Panasonic Blu Ray Recorder works fine but HD programmes recorded in original quality from the Hard Drive onto Blu Ray discs will not play properly in other Blu Ray players. The Blu Ray recordings play perfectly well in the player on the recorder unit but not in other Panasonic stand alone Blu Ray players, where the playback is very unstable. This fault makes the overall enjoyment of the product very restrictive.
Summary: I asked in several shops the simple question "will this unit really allow me to make blu-ray disks from off-air programmes in HD." "Of course, they said". "But surely that can't be true - what would be the point of the copyright management system (part of HDMI specs)". They looked at me as if I was stupid and insisted I was wrong. The reviews below tell me that I was not wrong, but do not quite reveal the full story.
