Decent player at a Great price. Best of all it has Amazon Instant Video!
16 October 2014
Summary: Has excellent picture and sound quality. Having the 2 HDMI outs is nice for Lossless. The only faults I have with this player is no SACD and the remote. I had the BDT500 and I loved it and once I got the hang of the remote grew to love it as well. Lightning took out the BDT500 and I can't find one now anywhere close to the price I paid for mine. I hoped the 500's remote would work with this player but other than the basic functions it does not.
Summary: It claimed that all of my disks were unreadable - DVD, BluRay, and DVDs I recorded at home. Also, the top panel was mis-installed, so that one corner stuck up in the air. How does a product like this from a well-known Japanese manufacturer get through inspection? Clue: Not actually made in Japan. The wireless was also too weak for streaming to actually work.
Problems reported in reviews are still there; would *not* recommend this item
Ken Coar "Rodent of Unusual Size", Amazon
21 August 2014
Summary: We bought this because it was a Consumer Reports recommended item, and despite the problems reported on Amazon. I figured enough time had passed for the reported problems to have been fixed. Pros: fast enough with disc loading; good quality picture; handles DVDs satisfactorily. Cons: Froze the first night (and once since), requiring unplugging; adverts in menus (seriously??
Summary: Use it for Netflix more than anything, also stream from a DLNA server with it. Plays BD great, quick access. Added Miracast for use with tablets and such. My Asus ME102 tablet uses Miracast to put the desktop on my tv thru dmp330 . Satisfied customer here, recommend it highly.
Excerpt: I had a PS3 that was primarily used as a Bluray player and it died. So, after reading some reviews, I decided on the DMP-BDT330. I do not regret my purchase. The picture and sound quality are several notches above the performance of my PS3. The video quality is stunning. I can't speak for all of the built in software components, but the Netflix interface, video and audio quality is very good.
Pros: DVD Upconversion, Easy Set-Up, Excellent Image Quality, Good Connections, Good Soundtrack Support
Summary: Have been using for about 2 weeks and the thing continues to freeze up and become completely unresponsive unless power cycled. I blindly went with this panasonic to brand match my tv, but regret it. After doing some research, Apparently I'm not the only one having this problem with this player. Come on panasonic.... U can do better. I'm sending back and trying a Sony.
Summary: I am a big fan of Panasonic products and they integrate well with the Viera Connect. This player tends to freeze up periodically and needs to be unplugged to restore operations. I regularly update the firmware. I also don't care for the advertising when connected to WiFi.
Summary: For the price that I paid for this you would think that it work for a few years. But now to play it I must keep it unplugged. When I'm ready to use it I got to plug it back in. I bought this Panasonic Blu-Ray Played because I have a Panasonic TV. I had a LG but wanted to update it to a newer model.
