Agree with others, the "fancy" remote is HORRIBLE.

M. Gettemeier, Amazon
17 July 2013
  • Summary: The bottom-line is this, the fancy touch-pad remote is so UN-user-friendly that it nearly ruins the whole purchase. I like the look of the player, especially the tray-less disc feature (it works like your car CD player, grabbing the disc to play)...

Incredible Disc Playback Quality- Viera Environment Capable

Hiroku-hiroku, Amazon
4 October 2012
  • Summary: If you just want a disk player you could do worse. For HD-1080p streaming,(Netflix)stick to Roku. Other features such as wifi-network are bargain basement quality and lack refinement and don't stream HD. Over-priced, if you paid $199 get your money back.

TOUCH PAD is nonsense

Kindle Customer, Amazon
4 October 2012
  • Summary: The machine itself is pretty nice,BUT (notice the big but?) the remote sucks. Does everything have to be a touch/brush/swipe/tap/pound pad instead of just having buttons? Instead of one motion;"pressing the pause button", you have to first, push the menu button; search the screen and select your...

A Frustrating Experience ...

Roger Smith, Amazon
4 October 2012
  • Summary: I bought this Blu-Ray player along with Panasonic's ET5 television and I'm not a happy camper. First of all, the lack of real buttons on the remote is a real problem. Slide your finger up along the edge to pause? Or is that how you select play? Who thought this was a good idea?

A decent bluray player with some design issues that need improvement.

J. Childress, Amazon
3 August 2012
  • Summary: I purchased this unit based on overall reviews and the included feature to adjust 3d effect depth. I sit about 6 feet from my 55" 3DTV and most 3d movies are authored with insufficient depth for sitting this close. The built in adjustment feature solves this problem pefectly.

Not as Good as Advertised

Brock Strom, Amazon
3 August 2012
  • Summary: Said used like new in box. The box was far from new. Looks like a zoo had its way with it. The product did appear to be like new. I have my issues with them telling me like new. I have Nintendo games that have better box conditions than this ( 20+ years). Slightly false advertisement.

Even though it is a great machine, just a bit too complicated for me ...

Marcia Timothy, Amazon
3 August 2012
  • Summary: Even though it is a great machine, just a bit too complicated for me to handle. My daughter is the one that operates it. I much prefer the conventional kind.

Blu-ray = 4.5 / remote = 1.0 (if that)

Ken Cormier, Amazon
3 August 2012
  • Summary: Do you really want a remote where you throw your fingers in different directions? It's like a Windows 8 design, completely worthless.
