Summary: I just needed a DVD player for a spare TV room. I bought a cheapo one $10 after rebate and it worked as long as the movie's bitrate was low, but would stutter if the bitrate climbed too high. So I figured I'd better purchase a better-quality one.
Agree with others, the "fancy" remote is HORRIBLE.

Summary: The bottom-line is this, the fancy touch-pad remote is so UN-user-friendly that it nearly ruins the whole purchase. I like the look of the player, especially the tray-less disc feature (it works like your car CD player, grabbing the disc to play)...
Summary: I have owned this player for 7 months now and like the idea of it, as when it works it works well. however I need this player to play Blu-ray disks flawlessly, unfortunately it does not play rental disks well due to the fact they are probably well used.
Summary: I bought this thing in March. In the beginning it would load netflix but was very slow. After about a month it would'nt load netflix. Panasonic customer service was slow but they reset the thing and it worked for a short time. I have reset it many times and now have given up on using it for netflix.
Summary: This Bluray player gets many accolades for its performance. Plays 3D if you need it to, works superbly in 2D. Built in wireless connectivity is a boon for watching movies from the internet and quite easy to set up.
Summary: I bought this Blu-Ray player along with Panasonic's ET5 television and I'm not a happy camper. First of all, the lack of real buttons on the remote is a real problem. Slide your finger up along the edge to pause? Or is that how you select play? Who thought this was a good idea?

Summary: If you just want a disk player you could do worse. For HD-1080p streaming,(Netflix)stick to Roku. Other features such as wifi-network are bargain basement quality and lack refinement and don't stream HD. Over-priced, if you paid $199 get your money back.
A decent bluray player with some design issues that need improvement.

Summary: I purchased this unit based on overall reviews and the included feature to adjust 3d effect depth. I sit about 6 feet from my 55" 3DTV and most 3d movies are authored with insufficient depth for sitting this close. The built in adjustment feature solves this problem pefectly.
Summary: The machine itself is pretty nice,BUT (notice the big but?) the remote sucks. Does everything have to be a touch/brush/swipe/tap/pound pad instead of just having buttons? Instead of one motion;"pressing the pause button", you have to first, push the menu button; search the screen and select your...
