Summary: Read reviews and picked this product for function and price. Had no problem setting it up and using it. Only weak point is you have to buy a $100 camera to be able to use Skype. I won't be using the Skype function with this unit because of the cost.
A quality product that almost meets my expectations.

Summary: I've only had the Panasonic DMP-BDT220 a few days so I haven't fully explored it yet. I was waiting to buy it until CNET reviewed it, which they haven't done yet, but I found a few other reviews online which were very positive so I went for it. I like that I can connect an external HD through USB and access all my music, photo and video files. But what is new to me and has me excited is DLNA.
Pros: There were a few upgrades this player had over the previous model that I was interested in, additional file formats it now can handle either through USB, SD card or on disc and more formatting options for devices connected through USB plus more apps.
Cons: USB and SD card file options are not completely the same which could be problematic. Would like even more file format options for music and video. I tried the simulated 3D effects on Avatar and it was unwatchable. Maybe it doesn't work on passive 3D.
Summary: Good budget player. HOWEVER, it doesn't seem to want to play the english version of Lego movie (every other language works). Works fine on my PC and a friends player - and firmware up to date. Streams youtube and from my PC, bu needs you to alter some settings on your PC for them to talk to each other.
Good as a Blu-ray/DVD player, not so good for everything else

Summary: First the good points about this player. The picture quality is truly excellent and Blu-rays look fantastic in all their HD glory. I am also very impressed with the sound quality that is passed from the player to my Onkyo AV Receiver. DVD upscaling is excellent and probably the best I have seen at this price point. The controls are simple to use and discs load quickly.
Summary: I teamed this player with my Panasonic Full HD 42" TV, this player works very well producing excellent pictures on both STD and Blue Ray discs. The remote is responsive with good functionality. I connected this smart player via Ethernet cable rather than wireless for faster and more reliable connection to the internet. Works well on i-player etc.
Summary: I have no need for 3D but this was an excellent price and a real favorite from professional critics around the web. It's a good build as you wold expect from Panasonic and plays everything effortlessly. The ability to stream from my 2TB link station HDD and the USB facility is particularly impressive although won't get too much use. A bargain at the price I paid.
