Summary: Why am I the only one who has the problem of the picture going DIM every 20 minutes. I have the screen saver turned off but I have to click enter every 20 minutes to keep the picture looking good! This is my only complaint, but I will not buy another Panasonic product unless this gets fixed.
Cons: Did not meet expectations, picture goes dim every 20 minutes.
Summary: Slow and rather confusing interface, no top menu button by which one can easily reach the DVD's menu, and, worst of all, its playback is too sensitive. Will not play DVDs tha are admittedly scratched rather badly but that my MacBook will play without incident. Need to build in greater tolerances.
Summary: I bought this for this thanksgiving and found it to be very primitive compared to Sony's. There is no option to rewind, forward a video while watching YouTube. There is no option to login to YouTube as well. It also doesn't list the recent searches. These are available in Sony. Plus every time, you have to go the main menu and enable subtitles. There is no subtitle button as in the remote. I would not recommend this to a friend.
Summary: Overall this seemed to be a good unit with a good price. I had some intermittent connectivity issues with my wireless network. Today I had a firmware update and now the wireless won't connect at all despite re-doing the setup just to make sure. Now i discover from reading reviews that this is a common issue.
Summary: Had the unit 3 months, and then Netflix will suddenly not connect at all. It comes up with the grey "cannot connect" page, even though I can connect to other online services and the units passes it's connectivity check. Eventually after much hassle, I figured out that it was the the unit. I performed the factory reset procedure on page 31 of the manual (under "To return all settings to the factory preset").
