Garbage. Cnet recommended. But Complete garbage.

Chad_Jason, CNET

  • Summary: Dont trust Cnet. They have gone astray trying to make money instead of helping the consumers.
  • Pros: Can do everything you want it to do
  • Cons: Slowest electronic device I have. Even slower than my MSI laptop.

No wireless internet just local wireless connection

tankshermy, CNET
2 February 2013
  • Summary: Bought this at Costco which was mistake #1 - I probably have more electronic returns to Costco than all other stores combined. Walked through the automatic wireless internet set up which got me a LAN connection but no internet. read all the bad reviews and could not find an ethernet cord long enough to connect wired and figured it was an omen of continued trouble, interrupted connections as I have read others having. Returned to retailer.
  • Pros: I bought this for the one thing that doesn't work.
  • Cons: Automatic wireless internet connection impossible to making this product useless to me.

Mine was a lemon.

Bashiba, CNET
21 January 2013
  • Summary: I let Cnet's review of this talk me into buying it as I was needing a 3D blue ray player, well it wouldn't even play 2d blue rays let alone 3d. I thought maybe I just had a lemon and then I started reading all the bad reviews on Amazon, seems to be a lot of these out there that are lemons, so I figured why chance another dud, sent it back and ordered a Sony instead.
  • Pros: None, avoid this and buy something else.
  • Cons: Couldn't even play a blue ray, continually stuttered and stopped with discs that play perfectly fine in my Sony player. If it can't do the one thing it was designed to do how it does anything else is pretty pointless.

Honestly not worth it!

PardonMyFrench, CNET
18 December 2012
  • Summary: I did my research and found that for "budget" players, this one rank #1. I would not rate this among any of the top players after my experience.
  • Pros: Light weight, Sleek looking, Netflix Direct Button, Multi-User Programming, Inexpensive, Power Consumption options for energy savings
  • Cons: Firmware Would Not Update, Could not open Any App or Internet, Panasonic Online Chat-Support was garbage, Abbr. On-Screen commands, poorly lit display screen (on the machine)

Such high hopes... such utter disappointment.

skaramanga2, CNET
1 September 2012
  • Summary: I do not recommend this DVD player at all!!
  • Pros: The blu-ray player itself rocks! It starts up fast plays very well and has a great picture.
  • Cons: Internet apps stop working often--requiring a power cycle to clear up the issue or a special key code to reset the device to original factory settings.

Be Warned!

M Hobbs, Amazon
15 March 2013
  • Summary: This Blu-Ray player is pants. Whilst in it's basest of requirements, it plays Blu-Rays and DVDs well enough, there the satisfaction ends. It is supposed to be a smart device, which after a fashion it is. However, it struggles with it's DLNA linking (as does my Smart Viera TV. What's even worse, is that if you want to stream movies to it (surely part of the reason for buying....), forget it, it barely plays any formats - an absolute abomination.

can't stream DIVX or AVI from DLNA/NAS devices

MK, Amazon
11 November 2012
  • Summary: I bought this device based on very good reviews. Item delivered very fast... All connected to my system - very nice design and overall build quality very good. Setup was very quick and painless. Blu Rays/DVD worked really well - very nice upscaling and overall picture quality was excellent (better than my PS3) The misery started when I was trying to stream videos from my DLNA certified NAS device - 90% of my files were coming up as not supported format.

Defekt nach 12 Monaten

Ingo Kühn, Amazon
15 November 2013
  • Summary: Ansich könnte man meinen, ein Bluray Player soll Blurays und DVDs abspielen, dass möglichst leise und zuverlässig. So weit so gut.
