Summary: I would recommend the product itself. But Prov. Co. gets bad rating for following reason. I ordered this Blu-ray Disc Player on May 23, 2013 via Amazon( PF Wholesale). Its box was not opened (by me) until June 08 because I had hired a contractor to install a TV [Samsung], a Desk-top PC [Dell] a laptop PC [ Dell} -- and the Disc Player. All these items were bought through Amazon at the same time. For the record the contractor did not start work until June 28.
Summary: The blu-ray video and sound are excellent. Not one single complaint. Fast load times, especially with quick start. Passes all codecs to my onkyo receiver, no problem. ~$150 range Full HD 3D blu-ray player with updatable firmware and a robust internet suite for streaming (semi-future proof) Boots up fast (about .5 second when the stand-by mode is on) and load fast (always less than 30 seconds for any Blu-ray I've thrown at it) Small form factor actually can fit right...
Summary: I purchased this product in November of 2011. I was very happy with it up until tonight. I noticed some problems while watching Transformers a few days ago with the screen getting all pixelated in a scene or two, but the disc never stopped playing or froze up............until tonight. I popped on one of my all time favorite Christmas movies, Lampoon's Christmas Vacation and it wouldn't play.
Summary: I've had this player for 9 months now and in most respects it is a very nice player. It plays Blu-ray beautifully with very fast load times and it upscales DVD's with surprising quality. But..there is a downside and it has been mentioned in many other reviews. This player has issues streaming Netflix..only Netflix mind you..it streams Amazon, Hulu, Vudu, Youtube and others perfectly.
Summary: For a short time, this player was awesome, but after 2 months, it started to have video drop-outs, which continued until it happened every few seconds. Normally, I would say, "No problem, stuff happens, it's in warranty, all is good." However, the policy at Panasonic doesn't allow for repair, but instead they send you a refurbished player in what they call an "exchange.
Summary: This is an excellent player for Blu-rays and DVDs - great quality and I haven't had problems playing anything so far, and the interface is slick and very usable. But if you're like me and got a BD player planning to also use it for Netflix, you might want to think twice about Panasonic. I've had two problems with using Netflix on this player. 1) There are intermittent split-second flashes of black during playback.
works well, fast & responsive, turn it on and it's ready immediately

Summary: This player has a nice long feature list, and all the things I've tried work fine. blu-ray playback including 3d, playing mkv-format videos from thumb drives. However, the best thing is that you turn it on, and it is immediately ready to use. It's the fourth DVD player I've owned; the others were an old toshiba dvd, a 2005 upscaling philips dvd, and a toshiba hd-dvd.
Summary: I will have to come back to update this review after I have used it for a while but for now I can say that it works as advertized. I had some trouble hooking up the audio that had more to do with my understanding of the receiver than anything to do with the DVD player. Once I rectified the problem I played a regular Blu-Ray to make sure the basics worked. This was one of my favorite movies, Moulin Rouge. The results were spectacular.
