Summary: my siblings and i pooled our money to buy this player for our parents over a year ago and it's never given us a single problem. we have atrocious wifi and it still works gloriously. we've never had it crash or give out. it plays everything without issue.
Cheap price is a trick get ready to spend $50 more

Summary: Bought this Blu-Ray Player excited that is was on a great sale and said it was a smart player that could get Netflix and other fun online apps, however conveniently doesn't say except for very fine print on the bottom that you must buy a wifi adapter that they make that is an additional 50 dollars to make any of the cool stuff work. It was sneaky advertising. I'm taking this thing back tomorrow morning and getting my money back!
Summary: My kids watch Netflix more than movies; this is set up for Netflix. It has a Netflix button on the remote. Quick interface between the remote and machine. It is fast and we have not had any problems with it. It took less than 5 minutes to set up. Works Wired or wireless for internet connection. I have a Panasonic TV this remote works for both. I would buy this again.
Great for Blu-Ray, but spotty on Wi-Fi, hardly plays NetFlix
BRADFORD H HARRIS, Amazon

Summary: The blu-ray player is great, but its Wi-Fi connection is spotty at best. I have a laptop sitting right next to this blu-ray player, and the laptop has a great connection. The blu-ray player can hardly ever even connect to NetFlix, which is the main reason I bought the thing.
Summary: I enjoy watching British television shows, and unfortunately cannot watch them on my normal DVD player. This player is great because it plays region 2 dvds and US region dvds. It's really simple to change regions. Best of all, it has netflix installed so I can stream movies and tv shows through netflix as well. Great machine, worth every penny.
Summary: I wanted to get a Blu-ray player compatible with my Panasonic TV and sound system, as well as being able to play region 2 Blu-ray and DVD discs. I've had it for a couple of months now and it has performed wonderfully. In addition, I was pleasantly surprised to find out that this was a fast booting player, and it loads Blu-rays nearly as fast as DVD discs. It has played region 2 Blu-rays flawlessly for me.
Summary: I recently purchased a PANASONIC DMP-BD87 All Region Multi Zone DVD Blu Ray Player. It played Italian DVDs fine, but when I tried playing BluRay movies, it didn't work. The player would freeze up and no longer respond to any commands. The only way I could turn it off was to unplug the power cord. Then I could restart it and eject the disc. I emailed Panasonic's customer service and within a couple of days they determined the BluRay lens was malfunctioning.
Summary: It came pre-loaded at firmware #1. It was very slow and glitchy. It's hard to believe that Panasonic would even release that to the public. I connected to wi-fi and upgraded to firmware 43!! Wow, that's a ton of updates. It worked great for 2 weeks and the HDMI interface died. It did not even last a year. Pure junk.
Summary: Who wants a Blu-Ray player that doesn't have any audio outputs? Contrary to what Target's website says, this device does NOT have 1 digital optical output. All it has is an HDMI output. So I can watch my high-quality blu-ray movies on my HD TV, but only listen to them in standard stereo sound out of my TV speakers - can't hook it up to my receiver to play in surround sound. So stupid. Not worth the money. I'll stick with my old player!
