Summary: I wanted a good quality Blu-Ray player which could wirelessly stream Netflix. I had previously purchased a Sony Blu-Ray player which on the box said it supported Netflix and other internet apps but the fine print was that it needed a proprietary $80 wireless network adapter to do that which wasn't...
WIFI Internet movies/TV episodes will probably take over
Mark H. Klemme, Amazon
7 November 2010
Summary: This technology is pretty cool, I can see it replacing physical rentals and even "On Demand", although the latter is similar. For $10/month with Netflix you get unlimited "on demand" albeit only for selected movies/TV episodes. What makes this cool is that it remembers where you left off.
Summary: First of all, I'm the kind of guy who likes to analyze my picture and sound(sometimes obsessively so) and sit as close as I can to my tv(Samsung 61" LED rear projection)so I may be a bit more geeky than the average blu-ray viewer...but hey, why not?
Summary: I purchased this Network DVD player to replace the Sony BDP-BX57 DVD player that I returned to Costco after only one week. I wanted a network capable DVD player that I could use to access Netflix, utube, and other sites. The Sony unit continually paused to buffer.
Summary: I bought this player because it combines a blu-ray player with a Netflix interface without having to buy a gaming console like a PS3. It allows me to stream Netflix , Pandora and Youtube content from my tv. The Great: The picture quality is outstanding.
Good player, poor UI, UPDATE on Amazon VOD control
Bruce Irving "Flying Singer", Amazon

Summary: UPDATE: Correction on Amazon Video on Demand comments in last paragraph. Added a star to overall rating. As other reviewers have noted, the technical quality of this Blu-Ray player is quite good. BD's load quite fast and look great, and the upconverting feature makes DVD's also look quite decent.
Summary: I received the player yesterday. As I knew it was to be delivered, I opened an account with NetFlix and indicated that I had a Panasonic Wi-Fi Blu Ray Player and left the activation number open. When I got the player, I hooked up the usb dongle extension and unplugged the old hd player I had.
Summary: The Panasonic BD85K WiFi was the Blu-Ray player I'd been waiting for. I wanted my first Blu-Ray player to be WiFi enabled, reliable, provide a decent picture, have good audio, and be easy to use. This Panasonic unit almost fits the bill. I am not a DVD novice.
Summary: I'm a 62 year old retired man and I wanted to write this review for all those who aren't 'tecno-geeks' like myself. First of all, let me say that I found this blu-ray player to be of excellent quality. Both the picture quality and sound quality are outstanding.
Summary: If I could have rated it 4.5 stars I would have. Recently purchased the Panasonic and have been very pleased. It is set up in a family room attached to a Sony sound bar and Samsung DLP. I am using a PS3 in my main home theater, but wanted a more basic player with wifi for the wife to work easily.
