Summary: Regarding having to log-in and do everything short of placing the order to find the price: This seems to be a trend on many other websites as well.
Pros: I wanted a basic player that could play +DL burned dics as well as MP3 format discs. I have no interest in a LAN or streaming video. The player does a great job upconverting non-Bluray discs.
Cons: According to the manual, there are 5 search speeds. That seems to be the way to fast forward or fast reverse to find a particular spot. Every other player I've seen allows you to search for hours and minutes. This one doesn't so I knocked off an egg.
Summary: Like I said, I only wanted a few features and I wanted cheap, and this looks to be exactly what i wanted. I would love to have a few more minor features work better/differently (eg: the tv volume/power buttons on the remote be programmable and not only viera-link) and if TVersity had better support for it*, but all in all, I'm very happy with it thus far. Now to play some Bluray's on it.
Pros: Netflix button on the remote
Cons: DLNA - Tversity recognizes it as a PS3. This might be the cause of some of my problems, but sometimes the audio gets out of sync. Some shows, a quick rewind fixes this. Other shows can't rewind and just start over. I'm thinking that I should blame this on the Transcoding and it may not be the panasonic's fault, but it should be noted.
Panasonic DMP-BD75EB-K Ultra Fast Booting 2D Blu-Ray Disc Player
15 October 2012
Summary: This Blu Ray Player is a good value for money item. The Player itself is slim and looks stylish with a fairly robust remote. Looking at the other reviews, the only negative comments were that it is noisy when playing Blu Ray Discs. I bought it to play DVD Discs so this did not put me off buying it. (I have recently bought a Blu Ray Disc.) I can confirm on my model, DVD Playback was quiet.
Summary: I bought this a couple of months ago, and I'm very happy. It's very small, both width and depth wise, so it fits perfectly in front of my TV. The remote is reasonably small and easy to use as well, which is always a bonus. I haven't noticed the "loud buzzing/whirring noise" as reported in some reviews here, so I think that must be an individual issue rather than a product-wide fault. My only problem with it, so far, is the USB connector.
Summary: First experience of BluRay this, and wasn't sure what to expect, although I am a Panasonic fan. It's very affordable, and doesn't have many of the unnecessary bells and whistles that other models have. Reviews seemed faultless, and if you don't have/need 3D capable devices, then it has all you need. It's low on connectivity, however, so you might want to check you have an output for your devices.
Summary: Picture quality and sound are great. This machine upscales normal DVD to 1080p and upscaling quality is also great. This player is very thin and operating system is well made comparing to previous Panasonic blu ray players. Negative points are, Panasonic failed to integrate SD card reader for this model and there is no optical or Coaxial output, you cannot connect this machine to your home cinema system.
